An Intelligent Broadcasting Algorithm for Early Warning Message Dissemination in VANETs

open access: yesMathematical Problems in Engineering, Volume 2015, Issue 1, 2015., 2015
Vehicular ad hoc network (VANET) has gained much attention recently to improve road safety, reduce traffic congestion, and enable efficient traffic management because of its many important applications in transportation. In this paper, an early warning intelligence broadcasting algorithm is proposed, EW‐ICAST, to disseminate a safety message for VANETs.

Endovascular Repair of a Large Profunda Femoris Artery Pseudoaneurysm

open access: yesCase Reports in Vascular Medicine, Volume 2014, Issue 1, 2014., 2014
Profunda femoris artery aneurysms and pseudoaneurysms are a rare cause of peripheral arterial aneurysms but their risk of rupture is quite high. We have presented a case of a left lower leg pseudoaneurysm. We have shown that endovascular repair with angioplasty and stenting is a suitable treatment method for such a pseudoaneurysm.

Novel Technologies for Design and Analysis of Switching Mode Power‐Supply Circuit Based on Solitary Electromagnetic Wave Theory

open access: yesInternational Scholarly Research Notices, Volume 2014, Issue 1, 2014., 2014
The novel solitary electromagnetic wave (SEMW) theory and the novel design methodologies of the switching mode power supply circuit (SMPC) are presented. The SEMW theory was developed as a basic theory of the design of all kinds of the switching mode circuit including SMPC by fusing the physics of semiconductor, nonlinear undulation, and ...

Asynchronous Graph Pattern Matching on Multiprocessor Systems

open access: yes, 2017
Pattern matching on large graphs is the foundation for a variety of application domains. Strict latency requirements and continuously increasing graph sizes demand the usage of highly parallel in-memory graph processing engines that need to consider non ...

Percutaneous Stent‐Graft Repair of Anastomotic Pseudoaneurysms following Vascular Bypass Procedures: A Report of Two Cases

open access: yesCase Reports in Vascular Medicine, Volume 2013, Issue 1, 2013., 2013
Anastomotic pseudoaneurysms are common entities following vascular bypass procedures and, if left untreated, serious complications such as thromboses, infection, and rupture can frequently occur. Therefore, attempts to employ various methods of repair have been utilized in treating anastomotic pseudoaneurysms to maximize operational success and future ...

Arteriojejunal Fistula Presenting with Recurrent Obscure GI Hemorrhage in a Patient with a Failed Pancreas Allograft

open access: yesCase Reports in Transplantation, Volume 2013, Issue 1, 2013., 2013
We present a case of a patient with a failed pancreaticoduodenal allograft with exocrine enteric‐drainage who developed catastrophic gastrointestinal (GI) hemorrhage. Over the course of a week, she presented with recurrent GI bleeds of obscure etiology.

Predictors of Attendance and the Impact of Attendance on Outcomes for a Parenting Programme in Two Southeast Asian Countries [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
Background: Children living in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) experience alarmingly high rates of maltreatment, frequently at the hands of caregivers. Group-based parenting programmes show promise for reducing and preventing child maltreatment,

Balloon Occlusion of the Contralateral Iliac Artery to Assist Recanalization of the Ipsilateral Iliac Artery in Total Aortoiliac Occlusion: A Technical Note

open access: yesCase Reports in Radiology, Volume 2013, Issue 1, 2013., 2013
Endovascular recanalization of chronic total aortoiliac occlusion is technically challenging. Inability to reenter the true aortic lumen, following retrograde iliac recanalization, is one of the most common causes of failure. We describe a case of a total aortoiliac occlusion where balloon occlusion of the right common iliac artery, following its ...
