Biodiversity Credits: An Overview of the Current State, Future Opportunities, and Potential Pitfalls

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Biodiversity credits are an emerging vehicle for pro‐environmental financing, yet much uncertainty remains around how and when they could boost biodiversity conservation. Here we define what biodiversity credits are and explore impact pathways through a proposed theory of change. Based on evidence from 34 pilot projects and a review of lessons

Community and Consumer Dynamics in NFTs: Understanding Digital Asset Value Through Social Engagement

open access: yesJournal of Consumer Behaviour, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT While non‐fungible tokens (NFTs) have emerged as a significant blockchain application, research has largely focused on market dynamics rather than consumer behavior. Through in‐depth interviews with 21 NFT consumers and a netnographic analysis of Discord interactions (109,517 words), this study develops a comprehensive framework explaining the

Influence of Hard/Soft Carbon Ratio in Composite Anodes for Enhanced Performance in Sodium‐Ion Battery

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 12, Issue 6, March 15, 2025.
This study presents a facile route to develop high‐performing carbon anodes by combining hard carbon (HC) and soft carbon (SC) precursors at varying ratios. The composite carbon anodes are synthesised via a one step direct carbonization route. The composite carbon anodes showed superior performance compared to individual HC and SC.

Understanding the Effects of Ethylene as an Airborne Contaminant in Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells and its Mitigation via Filtration

open access: yesChemElectroChem, EarlyView.
The effect of ethylene contamination in the proton exchange membrane fuel cell air feed on performance is studied. Operating cells are sensitive to the presence of ethylene down to 1 ppm, and it is determined that the mechanism for cell poisoning is adsorption on the cathode catalyst.

Graph Neural Networks for Emulation of Finite-Element Ice Dynamics in Greenland and Antarctic Ice Sheets [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Although numerical models provide accurate solutions for ice sheet dynamics based on physics laws, they accompany intensified computational demands to solve partial differential equations. In recent years, convolutional neural networks (CNNs) have been widely used as statistical emulators for those numerical models.
