Engineering Hierarchically Nano‐Structured Cu Foams: Dynamic Hydrogen Bubble Templated Binder‐Free Freestanding Electrodes for Energy Applications

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
The competition between H2 evolution (HER) and Cu electrodeposition during the dynamic hydrogen bubble templating (DHBT) crucially influences the synthesized foam morphology. Generally, when HER is dominating, numerous small H2 bubbles form, resulting in compact Cu foams.

MXene 3D‐AJP: Three‐Dimensional Well‐Oriented Freeform Networks of 2D MXene Nanosheets via Aerosol‐Based 3D Printing

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
This study presents an additive‐free aerosol jet 3D printing technique for assembling 2D MXene nanosheets into complex, customizable, high‐aspect‐ratio 3D microarchitectures without binders. By leveraging real‐time ink thickening, the authors also fabricate 3D microsupercapacitors with interdigitated electrodes that holds breakthrough device areal ...

High‐Rate and Selective Conversion of Low‐Concentration Carbon Dioxide to Carbon Monoxide Using a Carbon Nanotube‐Supported Molecular Electrocatalyst

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
With significantly enhanced accessibility, optimized CO2 affinity, and CO2 adsorption capacity of CoPc active sites, the molecularly dispersed MWCNT|CuPc‐CoPc electrodes realize efficient single‐pass conversion of CO2 to CO, yielding a high CO yield of 65.7 ± 2.3% and an energy efficiency of 54.8 ± 1.9% using 20% CO2 at an ampere‐level current (0.625 A)

Converting Binary Floating‐Point Numbers to Shortest Decimal Strings: An Experimental Review

open access: yesSoftware: Practice and Experience, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background When sharing or logging numerical data, we must convert binary floating‐point numbers into their decimal string representations. For example, the number π might become 3.1415927. Engineers have perfected many algorithms for producing such accurate, short strings.
