Weather, EarlyView.This study quantifies the likelihood of May temperature extremes in present, natural (climatology based on pre‐industrial forcings) and future climates. The attribution applies in the context of a May heatwave comparable to the record‐breaking 1944 event and the persistent record‐breaking monthly‐mean temperature from 2024.

The walked transects were laid out according to a random rule.

The proliferation of livestreaming webcams, for example, those used by nature reserves for public engagement purposes, have offered new possibilities for the study of wildlife behaviour.

Behavioural responses of a gamebird to human encounters across the hunting season
Wildlife Biology, EarlyView.We examined the behavioural adaptation of rock ptarmigan Lagopus muta in response to human encounters across the hunting season. We conducted disturbance experiments in two different parts of the species' range, in subarctic (Iceland) and in alpine (Italy) habitats.
