Ecological Characteristics of the Ichthyoplankton of the Curonian Lagoon
Acta Zoologica Lituanica, 2000Larvae of 12 fish species were caught during the research on ichthyoplankton in the Curonian Lagoon in 1996-1999. Perch and smelt larvae predominate in the open part of the Curonian Lagoon, while roach larvae predominate in its coastal zone. The highest density of fish larvae was determined in the coastal zone at Ventė Cape and in the open part of the ...

Ichthyoplankton in the Southwestern Kara Sea
Вопросы ихтиологии, 2023Based on the expedition and literature data, the ichthyoplankton in the southwestern part of the Kara Sea is described. Larvae and pelagic fry of 22 fish species belonging to 19 genera, 10 families, and five orders were found in the study area from 1921 to 2019.

Ichthyoplankton of the Azores seamounts
Journal of Ichthyology, 2008Species composition and quantitative distribution of ichthyoplankton in the region of the oceanic seamounts of the Azores complex from 2000 to 2004 are considered. The spawning biomass of the main fishery item of this region—Atlantic jack Trachurus picturatus—is calculated.

Journal of Fish Biology, 1988
A 12‐month study was carried out to quantify the numbers of fish eggs and larvae taken into Fawley Power Station on Southampton Water. Fourteen species of fish and the eggs of four species were identified. Estimates are given of the total annual entrainment in immediate numbers and adult equivalents. Findings of previous studies are confirmed showing a

Ichthyoplankton of Rockall-Hutton seamounts
Journal of Ichthyology, 2007Species composition and quantitative distribution of ichthyoplankton in areas of the Rockall-Hutton seamounts are considered in a comparative aspect, and the spawning biomass of the blue whiting Micromesistius poutassou, the main commercial item of this region, is calculated.

Nearshore Ichthyoplankton of a North Temperate Estuary
Canadian Journal of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences, 1984Composition of ichthyoplankton in the nearshore zone (0–6 km from shore) of the St. Lawrence estuary showed important differences from that farther offshore. In particular, larvae of herring (Clupea harengus harengus), winter flounder (Pseudopleuronectes americanus), and smooth flounder (Liopsetta putnami) made up a greater proportion of the ...

Ichthyoplankton of Feodosiya bay in December 2006
Journal of Ichthyology, 2009Ichthyoplankton of Feodosiya bay in December 2006 was represented by eggs and larvae of winter-spawning fish species belonging to three families. The average abundance of fish eggs and larvae was 62.1 and 5.5 pcs/m3, respectively, and was comparable with the values for the 1950s. The eggs and larvae of sprat Sprattus sprattus phalericus dominated. Most

Error Bounds for Estimates of Entrained Ichthyoplankton
Canadian Journal of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences, 1983Entrainment of fish larvae and eggs was monitored at the J. H. Campbell Plant, eastern Lake Michigan, from 1977 to 1979. A procedure for calculating error bounds for estimated number of fish larvae (or eggs) entrained by the plant for each year of operation, assuming independence among observations, was outlined.

The ichthyoplankton of the Cacheu river’s estuary
