Mapping ICNP Version 1 Concepts to SNOMED CT
2010The purpose of this study is to evaluate the ability of SNOMED CT to represent concepts of the ICNP Version 1 – the 7-Axis model. We selected the 1568 concepts of the ICNP 7-Axis model. From January 2007 through June 2007, the first author mapped the ICNP Version 1 concepts to the SNOMED CT using CLUE browser 5.0.

ICNP and NMDS: Bridging the Gap
1999This paper describes what a Nursing Minimum Data Set is and the conditions which have to be fulfilled to include ICNP in a NMDS. The ICNP-data from the validation site of the University Hospital of Amsterdam are analysed with a clear focus of incorporation into a NMDS. Based on the results of this analysis, recommendations for inclusion are formulated.

AMIA Symposium, 2010The purpose of this study was to identify key concepts and semantic relations necessary to represent standardized and local patient assessment items in an electronic documentation system and to evaluate the degree to which coverage of both are represented by ICNP.
