Navigace mobilních robotů v neznámém prostředí s využitím měření vzdáleností [PDF]
The ability of a robot to navigate itself in the environment is a crucial step towards its autonomy. Navigation as a subtask of the development of autonomous robots is the subject of this thesis, focusing on the development of a method for simultaneous ...

Walking Stabilization Using Step Timing and Location Adjustment on the Humanoid Robot, Atlas
While humans are highly capable of recovering from external disturbances and uncertainties that result in large tracking errors, humanoid robots have yet to reliably mimic this level of robustness. Essential to this is the ability to combine traditional "

From 3D Point Clouds to Pose-Normalised Depth Maps [PDF]
We consider the problem of generating either pairwise-aligned or pose-normalised depth maps from noisy 3D point clouds in a relatively unrestricted poses. Our system is deployed in a 3D face alignment application and consists of the following four stages:

Production of MgO/TiC Composites From MgO‐C Recyclates Using Spark Plasma Sintering
Using the spark plasma sintering technique, MgO/TiC composites are manufactured from recycled MgO‐C refractories stemming from the steel production that were mixed with titanium powder. This article shows, how the size of the Ti grains and their distribution in the powder mixture affect the local carbon concentration in TiC.

Femtosecond laser ablation-ICP-mass spectrometry analysis of a heavy metallic matrix : determination of platinum group metals and gold in lead fire-assay buttons as a case study [PDF]
Owing to the shorter time interval during which energy is delivered to the sample material, femtosecond (fs) laser ablation is preferable over nanosecond laser ablation for metallic samples. In this project, the influence of various laser parameters-beam

In this work, a magnetic core‐shell catalyst (HOF‐on‐Fe3O4/ZIF‐67) is successfully synthesized, consisting of a metal–organic framework (ZIF‐67) with magnetic Fe3O4 as the core and a porous hydrogen‐bonded organic framework (HOF) as the shell. The catalyst efficiently activated peroxymonosulfate, resulting in rapid and effective removal of water ...
