Monitoring Migraine Cycle Dynamics with an Easy-to-Use Electrophysiological Marker—A Pilot Study
Migraine attacks can cause significant discomfort and reduced functioning for days at a time, including the pre-ictal and post-ictal periods. During the inter-ictsal period, however, migraineurs seem to function normally.

An Automated System for Epilepsy Detection using EEG Brain Signals based on Deep Learning Approach
Epilepsy is a neurological disorder and for its detection, encephalography (EEG) is a commonly used clinical approach. Manual inspection of EEG brain signals is a time-consuming and laborious process, which puts heavy burden on neurologists and affects ...

A New Approach to Automated Epileptic Diagnosis Using EEG and Probabilistic Neural Network
Epilepsy is one of the most common neurological disorders that greatly impair patient' daily lives. Traditional epileptic diagnosis relies on tedious visual screening by neurologists from lengthy EEG recording that requires the presence of seizure (ictal)

Abnormal Capillary Vasodynamics Contribute to Ictal Neurodegeneration in Epilepsy
Seizure-driven brain damage in epilepsy accumulates over time, especially in the hippocampus, which can lead to sclerosis, cognitive decline, and death. Excitotoxicity is the prevalent model to explain ictal neurodegeneration.

Radiofrequency thermocoagulation for the treatment of refractory focal status epilepticus
Abstract This case study reports the first documented use of stereoelectroencephalography (SEEG)‐guided radiofrequency thermocoagulation (RFTC) to treat refractory status epilepticus (RSE). A 33‐year‐old woman with drug‐resistant epilepsy and recurrent RSE underwent SEEG to define her epileptogenic zone.

Dynamic interneuron-principal cell interplay leads to a specific pattern of in vitro ictogenesis
Ictal discharges induced by 4-aminopyridine in the in vitro rodent entorhinal cortex present with either low-voltage fast or sudden onset patterns. The role of interneurons in initiating low-voltage fast onset ictal discharges is well established but the
