Cytocompatible Enzymatic Hydrogelation of Phenylboronic Acid‐Alginate via H2O2‐Triggered Deboronation

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, EarlyView.
This study develops a hydrogelation method for preparing hydrogels from precursors containing polymer‐PBA and HRP via H2O2‐triggered deboronation and subsequent enzymatic crosslinking. This hydrogelation method can impart dynamic properties to HRP‐mediated hydrogelation without any additives, thereby demonstrating the potential of this hydrogelation ...

Machine Learning for Predictive Modeling in Nanomedicine‐Based Cancer Drug Delivery

open access: yesMed Research, EarlyView.
The integration of AI/ML into nanomedicine offers a transformative approach to therapeutic design and optimization. Unlike conventional empirical methods, AI/ML models (such as classification, regression, and neural networks) enable the analysis of complex clinical and formulation datasets to predict optimal nanoparticle characteristics and therapeutic

Sustainability as Justice: Making the “Leave No One Behind” Work

open access: yesSustainable Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper critically engages with the LNOB principle of the 2030 Agenda, highlighting its conceptual, methodological, and structural limitations. Building on Amartya Sen's social choice theory and Rawlsian justice, it reconceptualizes “sustainability as justice,” emphasizing real‐world comparative assessments grounded in intersectionality. It

Arbitrary polarization control with a segmented APPLE-II undulator. [PDF]

open access: yesJ Synchrotron Radiat
A four‐segmented APPLE‐II undulator was constructed, and its operation has started at NanoTerasu BL13U. The performance of arbitrary polarization control using phase shifters is demonstrated.A newly developed four‐segmented APPLE‐II undulator enables arbitrary polarization control in the soft to tender X‐ray region.

Comparing a single target image with a reference three‐dimensional (3D) virtual avatar of a real person

open access: yesJournal of Forensic Sciences, EarlyView.
Abstract The demand for analyzing images from sources such as closed‐circuit television cameras has increased significantly. Conventional analyses, including gait and soft biometrics, typically require the comparison of two video footage clips, as these methods are predicated on video‐to‐video comparisons.

Investigating the Effects of Environmental Uncertainty, Business Strategy and Management Control Systems on Organisational Learning and Performance

open access: yesAccounting &Finance, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study investigates the effects of environmental uncertainty, business strategy and management control systems on organisational learning and business performance. This study finds that environmental uncertainty is positively related to the intensity of the product differentiation strategy, and the intensity of the product differentiation ...

A highly abundant circular RNA from the RMST locus plays a role in posterior fossa ependymoma pathogenesis

open access: yesBrain Pathology, EarlyView.
circRMST (hsa_circ_0099634) is by far the most abundant isoform from the RMST locus. It is highly expressed in cancer cells throughout ependymoma patient samples and is located in the cytoplasm. circRMST knockdown causes cell cycle arrest and induces differentiation, and it is a marker for poor prognosis. The figure is made using BioRender.

Protectin D1 and maresin 1 attenuate airway hyperreactivity induced by IL‐13 in human isolated small bronchi

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Background and Purpose Interleukin (IL)‐13 is implicated in airway hyperreactivity (AHR), a key feature of asthma. We explored the potential anti‐AHR activity of selected specialised pro‐resolving mediators (SPMs) in IL‐13‐induced AHR models, using human bronchial smooth muscle cells (BSMCs) and human isolated bronchi.

Precision Oncology for Pediatric Solid Tumors Using In‐Hospital Pediatric/AYA Malignancy‐Specific Panel Sequencing

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
Our findings indicate that a pediatric/AYA‐specific targeted panel deployed in a hospital can deliver rapid, clinically actionable molecular insights with high diagnostic and prognostic yield. This complements larger sequencing platforms by offering speed, focused content, and easier interpretation.
