Spectral Metric Spaces on Extensions of C*-Algebras [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We construct spectral triples on C*-algebraic extensions of unital C*-algebras by stable ideals satisfying a certain Toeplitz type property using given spectral triples on the quotient and ideal.

ID1 and ID3 are Negative Regulators of TGFβ2-Induced Ocular Hypertension and Compromised Aqueous Humor Outflow Facility in Mice

open access: yesInvestigative Ophthalmology and Visual Science, 2021
Purpose In POAG, elevated IOP remains the major risk factor in irreversible vision loss. Increased TGFβ2 expression in POAG aqueous humor and in the trabecular meshwork (TM) amplifies extracellular matrix (ECM) deposition and reduces ECM turnover in the ...

Data-Mining Synthesised Schedulers for Hard Real-Time Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The analysis of hard real-time systems, traditionally performed using RMA/PCP or simulation, is nowadays also studied as a scheduler synthesis problem, where one automatically constructs a scheduler which can guarantee avoidance of deadlock and deadline ...

Quasirandom permutations are characterized by 4-point densities [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
For permutations π and τ of lengths |π|≤|τ| , let t(π,τ) be the probability that the restriction of τ to a random |π| -point set is (order) isomorphic to π . We show that every sequence {τj} of permutations such that |τj|→∞ and t(π,τj)→1/4!

Id3 Prevents Differentiation of Preadipose Cells

open access: yesMolecular and Cellular Biology, 1997
We have studied the expression of the Id1, Id2, and Id3 genes during adipose differentiation of 3T3-F442A cells. All three Id mRNAs are present in preadipose cells, but the mRNA for Id3 is the most abundant. All three Id mRNAs sharply decline in the course of adipose differentiation, and their virtual disappearance precedes differentiation.

Id3, E47, and SREBP-1c [PDF]

open access: yesCirculation Research, 2008
See related article, pages 624–634 The epidemic of obesity has become among the most serious health problems worldwide because the weight gain carries a high risk of developing life-threatening diseases such as type 2 diabetes, hypertension, coronary artery disease, and heart failure.

Exploiting a knowledge base for intelligent decision tree construction to enhance classification power

open access: yesEngineering and Applied Science Research, 2022
Decision Trees are a common approach used for classifying unseen data into defined classes. The Information Gain is usually applied as splitting criteria in the node selection process for constructing the decision tree.

ID proteins promote the survival and primed-to-naive transition of human embryonic stem cells through TCF3-mediated transcription

open access: yesCell Death and Disease, 2022
Inhibition of DNA binding proteins 1 and 3 (ID1 and ID3) are important downstream targets of BMP signalling that are necessary for embryonic development.

Crossover between strong and weak measurement in interacting many-body systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Measurements with variable system-detector interaction strength, ranging from weak to strong, have been recently reported in a number of electronic nanosystems. In several such instances many-body effects play a significant role.
