Impact of early infectious diseases consultation on the management of central line-associated bloodstream infection: a propensity score weighting retrospective cohort study

open access: yesBMC Infectious Diseases
Background Central line-associated bloodstream infection (CLABSI) is an important healthcare-associated infection, particularly in the intensive care unit (ICU). This study aimed to investigate the impact of early infectious disease consultation (IDC) on

Navigating uncertainty in a nascent ecosystem: How shifting cognitive frames influence an incumbent firm's platform scope strategies

open access: yesStrategic Management Journal, Volume 47, Issue 4, Page 1093-1132, April 2026.
Abstract Research Summary We examine how an incumbent firm navigates internal and external uncertainties when entering a nascent platform ecosystem. Drawing on a longitudinal study of a large telecommunication firm's transition into an evolving IoT ecosystem, we advance a cognitive perspective on platform strategy.

Algebraic Multigrid Based Preconditioning Approaches for Generalized Continuum Models and Indirect Displacement Control Techniques

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, Volume 127, Issue 6, 30 March 2026.
ABSTRACT The contribution deals with algebraic multigrid (AMG) based preconditioning methods for the iterative solution of a coupled linear system of equations arising in numerical simulations of failure of quasi‐brittle materials using generalized continuum approaches.

Feasibility and Prognostic Analysis of Neoadjuvant Therapy Followed by Breast-Conserving Surgery for Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Combined with Ductal Carcinoma in Situ

open access: yesJournal of Investigative Surgery
Objective This study aim to investigate the oncological safety of neoadjuvant therapy (NAT) followed by breast-conserving surgery (BCS) for invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC) patients with the presence of ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) on pre-NAT biopsy ...

AI‐driven perception management and political soft power: Insights from expert interviews

open access: yesAI Magazine, Volume 47, Issue 1, Spring 2026.
Abstract This study explores the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in perception management as an emerging tool of political soft power. Drawing on the theoretical frameworks of social psychology, strategic communication, and political communication, the research investigates how AI‐assisted strategies influence public perception, image, and trust ...

Breaking the 2‐nm Barrier in Hard Disk Drives Using Monolayer Amorphous Carbon Overcoats

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 15, 12 March 2026.
The rapid growth of AI has increased demand for large‐scale data storage, making HDDs indispensable in data centers. Increasing areal storage density is crucial, but limited by the traditional carbon overcoats (COC). Monolayer amorphous carbon (MAC) offers a superior alternative.

Ultrasound in Women's Health: Mechanisms, Applications, and Emerging Opportunities

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 14, 6 March 2026.
As healthcare moves toward decentralization, ultrasound technologies are evolving from strictly imaging tools in clinical settings into versatile diagnostic and therapeutic platforms, with growing roles addressing women's health needs. This review highlights how ultrasound's underlying physical mechanisms can be harnessed to reduce disparities in women'

Targeting IL27RA Enhances Immunotherapy in Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer by Modulating Tumor Cells and the Tumor Microenvironment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 14, 9 March 2026.
IL27RA upregulation drives immune evasion in TNBC by suppressing MHC‐I expression and reprogramming T/NK‐cell states, establishing an immune‐excluded tumor phenotype. Targeting this epithelial‐intrinsic IL27RA–PI3K/AKT axis offers a promising strategy to overcome immunotherapy resistance.

Does concomitant ductal carcinoma in situ influence the prognostic outcome after neoadjuvant therapy in triple-negative invasive ductal carcinoma?

open access: yesWorld Journal of Surgical Oncology
Purpose Ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) is considered a precursor to invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC), and the coexistence of DCIS with IDC is often observed during the diagnosis of breast cancer.

SAGE: Spatially Aware Gene Selection and Dual‐View Embedding Fusion for Domain Identification in Spatial Transcriptomics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 16, 18 March 2026.
SAGE is a unified framework for spatial domain identification in spatial transcriptomics that jointly models tissue architecture and gene programs. Topic‐driven gene selection (NMF plus classifier‐based scoring) highlights spatially informative genes, while dual‐view graph embedding fuses local expression and non‐local functional relations.
