We propose a new approach for generative modeling based on training a neural network to be idempotent. An idempotent operator is one that can be applied sequentially without changing the result beyond the initial application, namely $f(f(z))=f(z)$.

Abstract factorization theorems with applications to idempotent factorizations
Israel Journal of Mathematics, 2021Let ⪯ be a preorder on a monoid H with identity 1H and s be an integer ≥ 2. The ⪯-height of an element x ∈ H is the supremum of the integers k ≥ 1 for which there is a (strictly) ⪯-decreasing sequence x1, …, xk of ⪯-non-units of H with x1 = x, where u ...

Structure theorems for idempotent residuated lattices
Algebra Universalis, 2020In this paper we study structural properties of residuated lattices that are idempotent as monoids. We provide descriptions of the totally ordered members of this class and obtain counting theorems for the number of finite algebras in various subclasses.

On matrices whose Moore–Penrose inverse is idempotent
Linear and multilinear algebra, 2020The paper investigates the class of square matrices which have idempotent Moore–Penrose inverse. A number of original characteristics of the class are derived and new properties identified.

Coupling Two-Stream RGB-D Semantic Segmentation Network by Idempotent Mappings
International Conference on Information Photonics, 2019In RGB-D semantic segmentation tasks, it has been shown that HHA embeddings effectively encode rich depth features and using HHA together with RGB images can improve segmentation performance.

DISTRIBUTIVE IDEMPOTENT UNINORMS
International Journal of Uncertainty, Fuzziness and Knowledge-Based Systems, 2003A characterization of all idempotent uninorms satisfying the distributive property is given. The special cases of left-continuous and right-continuous idempotent uninorms are presented separately and it is also proved that all idempotent uninorms are autodistributive.

In this article, we address two problems related to idempotent anti-unification. First, we show that there exists an anti-unification problem with a single idempotent symbol that has an infinite minimal complete set of generalizations. It means that anti-

Let N be an ideal of a ring A. We say that idempotents modulo N can be lifted provided that for every a of A such that a2-a ∈ N there exists an element e2=e ∈ A such that e-a ∈ N. The technique of lifting idempotents is considered to be a fundamental tool in the classical theory of nonsemiprimitive Artinian rings (refer [2; p. 72]).
