The E3 ubiquitin ligase, RNF219, suppresses CNOT6L expression to exhibit antiproliferative activity
We identified RNF219 as a CCR4‐NOT complex‐interacting E3 ubiquitin ligase that targets the CCR4‐NOT subunit CNOT6L for ubiquitination. RNF219 directly binds to the DUF3819 domain of CNOT1 through its putative α‐helix spanning amino acids 521–542. Our findings also suggest that antiproliferative activity of RNF219 is at least partially mediated by ...

IqgC is a RasGAP from Dictyostelium discoideum. IqgC binds RasG via its RasGAP domain and deactivates it on macroendocytic cups, thereby suppressing the uptake of fluid and particles. IqgC has a positive effect on cell‐substratum adhesion, and its RGCt domain is required for recruitment to ventral foci.

CD9‐association with PIP2 areas is regulated by a CD9 salt bridge
The tetraspanin CD9 has an intracellular salt bridge. If CD9 opens, open‐CD9 moves from PIP2‐rich areas to regions populated by its interaction partner EWI‐2. Hence, the state of the salt bridge regulates the distribution of CD9 and by this CD9‐EWI‐2 complex formation.

TTT and R2TP chaperone complexes are required for the assembly and activation of mTORC1. WAC directly interacts with components of TTT, R2TP, and mTORC1, and these interactions are affected by the availability of glucose and glutamine, correlating with changes in mTORC1 activity.

Nitric oxide‐forming nitrite reductases in the anaerobic ammonium oxidizer Kuenenia stuttgartiensis
Anammox bacteria remove fixed nitrogen from their environment via anaerobic ammonium oxidation (anammox) with nitrite as electron acceptor and dinitrogen gas as product. The first anammox step is the conversion of nitrite to nitric oxide by nitrite reductase.

Two‐way inhibition of PAX5 transcriptional activity by PAX5::CBFA2T3
PAX5::CBFA2T3 (PAX5‐C) is a fusion protein of the B‐cell transcription factor, PAX5, and is found in B‐cell ALL. We propose a putative model of two‐way inhibition of PAX5 transcriptional activity by PAX5‐C. There are two ways of repression by PAX5‐C: DNA‐binding‐dependent way and HDAC‐dependent way, with either being sufficient for the repression. HDAC

SARCOIDOSIS IN IDENTICAL TWINS [PDF]
The following report of the occurrence of sarcoidosis in two women who are identical twins presents some interesting observations in regard to the course of the disease in persons so related. REPORT OF CASES Case 1.— A white housewife, 24 years of age, was first seen at the Cleveland Clinic on Dec. 20, 1947.

Genetics Monozygotic twins that originate in the fertilization of one egg that splits into two are classically considered genetically identical. As a result, twin studies are an important aspect of research to unpick questions of nature versus nurture. To verify this assumption, Eriksson et al.

F26 Identical twins .. Are they identical? [PDF]
Background Reports of monozygotic HD twins are rare (Panas et al, 2008) and phenotypic concordance reported as the rule (Sudarsky et al, 1973). Reports are of twins with the same number of trinucleotide repeats, with different clinical behavioral difficulties but not significant motor differences (Gomed-Esteban et al, 2007).
