Vasospastic Angina in Identical Twins [PDF]

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Case Reports, 2015
The clinical conditions of various diseases, including coronary artery disease, are determined by genetics and the environment. Previous investigations noted the significance of genetic mutations and polymorphisms in cases of coronary spasm. We report on monozygotic identical twins who almost simultaneously presented with vasospastic angina. The 58-year-

The carboxylate “gripper” of the substrate is critical for C‐4 stereo‐inversion by UDP‐glucuronic acid 4‐epimerase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
UDP‐glucuronic acid 4‐epimerase (UGAepi) catalyzes NAD+‐dependent interconversion of UDP‐glucuronic acid (UDP‐GlcA) and UDP‐galacturonic acid (UDP‐GalA) via C4‐oxidation, 4‐keto‐intermediate rotation, and C4‐reduction. Here, Borg et al. examined the role of the substrate's carboxylate group in the enzymic mechanism by analyzing NADH‐dependent reduction

About Twins

open access: yesInternational Journal of the Whole Child, 2019
Twins, unique and similar – oh, the marvel of it all.  Consider the fact that twins represent only about 3% of the population. The amazing journey of a set of identical twins begins with one single egg, which splits during fertilization into two eggs ...

Identical Twins x 3 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
CINEMA IS ABOUT creating images in motion. It reflects the essential denotation of an image as an optical reproduction of an object, scene, movement, gesture. It's about visual representations of our perceptions and ourselves. It's a medium through which

The thioredoxin‐like and one glutaredoxin domain are required to rescue the iron‐starvation phenotype of HeLa GLRX3 knock out cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Glutaredoxin (Grx) 3 proteins contain a thioredoxin domain and one to three class II Grx domains. These proteins play a crucial role in iron homeostasis in eukaryotic cells. In human Grx3, at least one of the two Grx domains, together with the thioredoxin domain, is essential for its function in iron metabolism.

Comparison of the Facial Morphologies of Identical Twins Using Three-Dimensional Photography: A Case Report

open access: yesMedicine Science, 2016
The facial morphologies of identical twins were compared using the 3dMD three-dimensional (3D) photogrammetry system. 3D images of the faces of 27-year-old identical twins were acquired and then superimposed.

Node similarity within subgraphs of protein interaction networks

open access: yes, 2007
We propose a biologically motivated quantity, twinness, to evaluate local similarity between nodes in a network. The twinness of a pair of nodes is the number of connected, labeled subgraphs of size n in which the two nodes possess identical neighbours ...

The Non-Identical Twins in UK Public Law: Reasonableness and Proportionality [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Ever since the Wednesbury decision in 1947 UK courts and UK public law scholars have been struggling to comprehend the meaning of ‘reasonableness’ and its relation to ‘proportionality’. The main purpose of this article is to promote conceptual clarity in
