MacWilliams Identity for Codes with the Rank Metric [PDF]
The MacWilliams identity, which relates the weight distribution of a code to the weight distribution of its dual code, is useful in determining the weight distribution of codes. In this paper, we derive the MacWilliams identity for linear codes with the rank metric, and our identity has a different form than that by Delsarte.

Special identities for quasi-Jordan algebras [PDF]
Semispecial quasi-Jordan algebras (also called Jordan dialgebras) are defined by the polynomial identities $a(bc) = a(cb)$, $(ba)a^2 = (ba^2)a$, and $(b,a^2,c) = 2(b,a,c)a$. These identities are satisfied by the product $ab = a \dashv b + b \vdash a$ in an associative dialgebra.

This entry focuses on the role that the concept of identity has for framing, approaching, and possibly resolving moral dilemmas in bioethics. First, it introduces some of the key questions pertaining to the philosophical debate about identity. Second, it provides a synthetic overview of the main philosophical accounts of identity.

A User-Centric System for Verified Identities on the Bitcoin Blockchain [PDF]
We present an identity management scheme built into the Bitcoin blockchain, allowing for identities that are as indelible as the blockchain itself. Moreover, we take advantage of Bitcoin's decentralized nature to facilitate a shared control between users and identity providers, allowing users to directly manage their own identities, fluidly ...
