Computational Modeling of Reticular Materials: The Past, the Present, and the Future
Reticular materials are advanced materials with applications in emerging technologies. A thorough understanding of material properties at operating conditions is critical to accelerate the deployment at an industrial scale. Herein, the status of computational modeling of reticular materials is reviewed, supplemented with topical examples highlighting ...

Structure of Finite-Dimensional Protori
A Structure Theorem for Protori is derived for the category of finite-dimensional protori (compact connected abelian groups), which details the interplay between the properties of density, discreteness, torsion, and divisibility within a finite ...

The hybrid mean value of Dedekind sums and two-term exponential sums
In this paper, we use the mean value theorem of Dirichlet L-functions, the properties of Gauss sums and Dedekind sums to study the hybrid mean value problem involving Dedekind sums and the two-term exponential sums, and give an interesting identity and ...

Acoustic Moiré Flat Bands in Twisted Heterobilayer Metasurface
This research proposes a heterobilayer moiré acoustic metasurface using two distinct lattice structures. The heterobilayer design contributes to divergent dispersion curves for the upper and lower layers and allows for greater flexibility in tuning their hybridization through interlayer twisting.

An identity involving automorphisms of prime rings inspired by Posner's theorem
Let ${\mathcal R}$ be a prime ring with centre ${\mathcal Z}(\mathcal {R})$, $\mathcal {L}$ a non-zero Lie ideal of ${\mathcal R}$, and σ a non-trivial automorphism of ${\mathcal R}$ such that $[[\sigma (u),u], \sigma (u)] \in \mathcal {Z}(\mathcal {R})$

Biomechanical‐to‐electrical energy conversion devices are uniquely suited for self‐driven physiological information monitoring and powering human–computer interaction systems. These devices based on micro‐/nanoarchitectured inorganic dielectric materials (MNIDMs) have shown ultrahigh electromechanical performance and thus great potential for practical ...

A "quantum" Ramsey theorem for operator systems [PDF]
Let V be a linear subspace of M_n(C) which contains the identity matrix and is stable under the formation of Hermitian adjoints. We prove that if n is sufficiently large then there exists a rank k orthogonal projection P such that dim(PVP) = 1 or k^2.

In layered magnets, the atomistic Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya interaction (DMI) depends critically not only on the orbital occupancy of the interface layer but also on the sequence of the atomic layers. The effect can be understood by analyzing the contributions of different orbitals to DMI.

Jacobi's identity and the König-Egerváry theorem
AbstractThe König-Egerváry theorem, which asserts that the maximum size of a partial matching in a relation equals the minimum size of a separating set, is proved using Jacobi's identity relating complementary minors in a matrix and its adjugate.
