A Machine Learning Approach for Secure Communication Using Blockchain for IoT‐Based VANETs

open access: yesIET Communications, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
This article is based on the Secure Data communication over VANET through 5G communication. The data is handled using the Blockchain secure mechanism and Decision making is possible using Machine Learning. ABSTRACT Vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) have a dynamic topology. This nature makes them highly susceptible to security attacks. It also leads to

The Mobility Impact in IEEE 802.11p Infrastructureless Vehicular Networks [PDF]

open access: yes2010 IEEE 72nd Vehicular Technology Conference - Fall, 2010
Vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) are an extreme case of mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs). High speed and frequent network topology changes are the main characteristics of vehicular networks. These characteristics lead to special issues and challenges in the network design, such as in medium access control (MAC).

Machine learning approach of multi‐RAT selection for travelling users in 5G NSA networks

open access: yesIET Networks, Volume 14, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
The authors present RAT selection algorithm for efficient resource allocation for public bus travelling user(s), utilising live data from multiple 5G NSA base stations. Models of the supervised machine learning algorithms: SVM, DNN and XGBoost were deployed for implementation to predict or select the appropriate RAT between 4G and 5G RATs.
