Security Issues of IEEE 802.16 (WiMAX)

2006
Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) is going to be an emerging wireless technology for the future. With the increasing popularity of Broadband internet, wireless networking market is thriving. Wireless network is not fully secure due to rapid release of new technologies, market competition and lack of physical infrastructure. In the

Improving Security in the IEEE 802.16 Standards

2011 Eighth International Conference on Information Technology: New Generations, 2011
The IEEE 802.16 standard was proposed to provide Broadband Wireless Access for fixed and nomadic subscribers. However, Shon et al [9] identified three vulnerabilities in the existing 802.16 standards. The vulnerabilities are 1) important messages sent during the initial network entry process are not secured in the existing 802.16 standard, 2) there are

IEEE 802.16: Analysis of Probability-Time Characteristics

ACIT - Information and Communication Technology, 2010
In this article we present probability-time characteristics of perspective wireless network WiMAX (IEEE 802.16 standard), which were derived by numerical analytic method of the load intensity balance and could be used for its building. Need for frame format adaptation of MAC protocol is noted from delay characteristics. Derived results allow efficiency

Satellite Channels Based on IEEE 802.16 Standard

2019
This chapter considers the modeling of RPAS/Aircraft data transmission via channels based on IEEE 802.16 standard. RPAS communication channel with a fading was analyzed using original model. Dependencies of a SNR in ground receiver on a SNR in downlink for different types of RPAS amplifier nonlinearity were obtained.

Usluge u mreži WiMAX /IEEE 802.16

2007
Navedene su osnovne značajke arhitekture i topologije WiMAX 802.16.
