Microfluidic single‐cell technologies for immunotherapeutic target discovery: From design concepts to preclinical applications

open access: yesVIEW, Volume 7, Issue 1, February 2026.
Immunotherapy leverages the immune system to treat cancer and autoimmune diseases but is hindered by cellular heterogeneity in tissues and immune landscapes. Single‐cell technologies, particularly microfluidic‐enabled omics, revolutionize disease understanding by resolving this complexity at unprecedented resolution.

Therapeutic Efficacy of Monoterpenes in Nile Tilapia Infected With Edwardsiella tarda: A Phytogenic Alternative to Oxytetracycline

open access: yesJournal of Fish Diseases, Volume 49, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT The purpose of this research was to assess the effectiveness of a combination of monoterpenes (thymol and carvacrol) in treating juvenile Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) infected with Edwardsiella tarda as a potential substitute for the antibiotic oxytetracycline. The study utilised different concentrations of the monoterpenes blend (MTs):

Intensified demulsification and separation of thermal oxide reprocessing interfacial crud (THORP-IFC) simulants

open access: yesGreen Processing and Synthesis, 2012
Reprocessing of spent nuclear fuel for the recovery of the fissionable materials (mainly uranium and plutonium), is performed by solvent extraction. Thermal oxide reprocessing (THORP) is the most widely used technique in which processing fluids gradually

Emergence of Candida (Candidozyma) auris in Minas Gerais, Brazil: Genomic Surveillance to Guide Rapid Public Health Responses

open access: yesMycoses, Volume 69, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Candida (Candidozyma) auris is an emerging yeast that poses a significant global health threat due to its multidrug resistance and ability to cause healthcare‐associated outbreaks. Genomic surveillance is essential for monitoring spread, transmission and antifungal resistance.

CD71+ Red Blood Cells Mediate Increased Erythrophagocytosis and Reduce Monocyte Number in a Monocyte Suspension Assay

open access: yesScandinavian Journal of Immunology, Volume 103, Issue 2, February 2026.
CD71+ RBCs promote erythrophagocytosis in a dose‐dependent manner and induce loss of monocytes. ROS scavenger‐treated CD71+ RBCs rescue the impact of CD71+ RBCs on phagocytosis and monocyte reduction. ABSTRACT Adverse reactions from donor‐recipient sex‐mismatched transfusions have been reported in the field of transfusion medicine.

Modulation of Radiative Heat Transfer at the Nanoscale via Topological Polaritons in Twisted van der Waals Crystals

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 2, 27 January 2026.
Twisted α‐MoO3 layers support phonon polaritons whose propagation depends on the twist angle, enabling control of near field radiative heat transfer. Increasing the angle yields a monotonic rise in heat flux, driven by topological transitions from open hyperbolic to closed elliptical dispersions.

Generalized Surface Conductivity Model for Anisotropic Phonon Polaritons in van der Waals Slabs

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 2, 27 January 2026.
Herein, we report a generalized surface conductivity model which includes all waveguide polariton branches, by taking into account the out‐of‐plane dimension. Using this generalized 2D model can separate and examine each individual polaritonic mode in van der Waals slabs and further clarify their contributions in near‐field light matter interactions ...
