Preliminary results of the ACS Virgo Cluster Survey WFPC2 parallel observations are presented. We searched for intergalactic globular clusters in 100 WFPC2 fields within the Virgo Cluster. We find globular clusters preferentially near the most luminous cluster galaxies (M87, M49, and M60).

The Nature of IGC Negotiations
2002Instead of trying to fit a theory or create a new theory to the empirical evidence, this chapter outlines a number of tools from negotiation and integration literature which are useful in describing and analysing IGC negotiations. The aim is to highlight key issues and characteristics of the negotiating process of an IGC and thus provide a road-map for

AbstractThe influences on German negotiating positions are examined from the preparation for the IGC through to the end game. The focus is on Kohl, Waigel, Köhler, and Lautenschlager, as well as what happened inside the Bundesbank. A key question is why the German government accepted irreversibility at Maastricht. IGC: An Image Genre Classification System [PDF]
In this paper, we present image genre classification system, called IGC. The proposed system categorizes images into one of three genres, such as art, photo, or cartoon images. The images features are extracted using standard MPEG-7 visual descriptors, after which they are trained using Neural Networks.

Ramifications of the WIPO IGC for IP and development
2017Over the years, the idea of traditional knowledge has progressively unraveled as a traction point for complex issue linkages between intellectual property and, for example, genetic resources, biodiversity conservation, the rights of Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (ILCs), food, nutritional and environmental security.

Germany and the UK from convention to the IGC
German Politics, 2004The UK and Germany approached the Convention with rather closer positions on many key issues than popular image would have it, developed further common aims during the Convention, and both ended up relatively satisfied with the outcomes. Based on close observation of the Convention proceedings, this article explores this pattern of convergence ...

Probe selection and description in IGC: A nontrivial factor
Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 2003AbstractInverse gas chromatography (IGC) has found many uses in the characterization of polymer surfaces and their interaction capabilities. The IGC method relies on the selection of vapors with which to probe polymer surfaces. Problems attached to the volatile phase in IGC are considered.

Explaining British Policy in the IGCs
1999It is impossible to consider the overall balance-sheet of British success and failure in the negotiation of the Maastricht Treaty without reference to the British Prime Minister’s own claim that he had won at Maastricht ‘game, set and match’.1 There is a case for arguing that this picture of British success was true so far as Major’s own role went, for,
