CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
Molecular Oncology, Volume 20, Issue 9, Page 2262-2279, September 2026.PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

On the outside, PD‐L1 engages PD‐1 to inactivate T cells and drive immune evasion (immune shield). Inside the tumor cell, PD‐L1 activates AKT–mTOR, enhances DNA repair, rewires metabolism, supports autophagy, and enforces stemness programs—collectively creating a chemoresistance shield.
