Do Marine Mammals Diversify More Slowly Than Non‐Marine Mammals?

open access: yesJournal of Biogeography, Volume 53, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Aim Species richness is generally lower in marine than in terrestrial ecosystems, but the reasons behind this disparity remain unclear. This study examines whether marine mammals diversify at a slower pace than their non‐marine counterparts, aiming to shed light on the factors explaining potential diversification differences among them ...

Therapeutic strategies in vascular cognitive impairment: A systematic review and meta‐analysis

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 21, Issue 11, November 2025.
Abstract INTRODUCTION Vascular cognitive impairment (VCI) is a common, heterogeneous condition, currently lacking approved treatments. METHODS We reviewed therapeutic strategies tested in VCI and meta‐analyzed efficacy data for eligible interventions to assess whether previously tested treatments warranted reconsideration.

Early termination does not negatively impact the outcome of adjuvant immunotherapy in melanoma

open access: yesJournal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, Volume 39, Issue 11, Page 1975-1986, November 2025.
This study investigated whether a shorter duration of adjuvant anti‐PD1 therapy in resected melanoma is associated with a worse outcome. Patients with a shorter treatment duration and who did not stop therapy due to disease recurrence have no shorter recurrence‐free and overall survival than patients with a full 12‐month treatment.

A New Probe of the Planet-Forming Region in T Tauri Disks

open access: yes, 2004
We present new observations of the FUV (1100-2200 Angstrom) radiation field and the near- to mid-IR (3--13.5 micron) spectral energy distribution (SED) of a sample of T Tauri stars selected on the basis of bright molecular disks (GM Aur, DM Tau, LkCa15).

Accretion Outbursts in Circumplanetary Disks

open access: yes, 2012
We describe a model for the long term evolution of a circumplanetary disk that is fed mass from a circumstellar disk and contains regions of low turbulence (dead zones).
