Definitive IGRF models for 1945, 1950, 1955, and 1960.

open access: yesJournal of geomagnetism and geoelectricity, 1988
Definitive internal geomagnetic field models are obtained for the epochs 1945, 1950, 1955, and 1960, with the solution including local biases for the fixed observatories. In order to derive a priori models for the epochs, the International Geomagnetic Reference Field (12/83) model (based on Magsat data) was projected backward in time using a spline fit

Second generation of CSES global geomagnetic field model (CGGM-2) and associated candidate models for IGRF-14

open access: yesEarth, Planets and Space
This paper presents the second generation of the China Seismo-Electromagnetic Satellite (CSES) Global Geomagnetic Field Model (CGGM-2), specifically designed to derive candidate models for the fourteenth generation of the International Geomagnetic ...

Geomagnetism : review 2010 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The Geomagnetism team measures, records, models and interprets variations in the Earth’s natural magnetic fields, across the world and over time. Our data and expertise help to develop scientific understanding of the evolution of the solid Earth and ...

An initial analysis of the data from the Polar Orbiting Geophysical (POGS) Satellite [PDF]

open access: yes
The Polar Orbiting Geophysical Satellite (POGS) was launched in 1990 to measure the geomagnetic field. POGS data from selected magnetically quiet days was chosen, quality checked and deleted where thought to be erroneous.

Earth's core magnetic field model Mag.num and the IGRF 13 candidate

open access: yes, 2020
<p>The Earth's core magnetic field model Mag.num was the parent model for the GFZ IGRF 13 candidate submission. The model is based on geomagnetic ground observatory and Swarm satellite observations. Epochs 2020.0 and beyond were not covered by the data available at the time of submission and our results were based on predictions.

Attitude Determination of Micro-Satellite Using Geomagnetism and Magnetometer Data [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Astronomy and Space Sciences, 1992
Geomagnetic data from 3-axis magnetometer and the IGRF model (tilted-eccentric dipole model) were used to determine the attitude of a satellite. We compared the values of the geomagnetic model with the magnetometer data and two attitude angles, called α ...
