Symptomatic compression of right iliac vein after right iliac artery stent placement
Journal of Vascular Surgery: Venous and Lymphatic Disorders, 2017Right lower extremity edema can be a presenting symptom of iliocaval compression syndrome, even in the absence of deep vein thrombosis. It has been reported in idiopathic and rarely, iatrogenic, cases secondary to variant anatomy, arterial stents, and bony hardware.

Compression of the Iliac Vein by a Synovial Cyst
Annals of Vascular Surgery, 2004While a synovial cyst of the hip is a rare cause of lower limb swelling, a differential diagnosis of deep vein thrombosis is needed. A case of lower limb swelling due to compression of the external iliac vein by a synovial cyst is presented with a review of the literature.

Iliac Vein Compression Syndrome: A New Method of Treatment
The American Surgeon, 2000Iliac vein compression syndrome (May-Thurner syndrome) is caused by compression of the left iliac vein against the pelvic rim by the right iliac artery. Serious vascular sequelae to the leg can result if this is not recognized and corrected in a timely fashion.

Endovascular treatment of iliac vein compression syndrome (May–Thurner)
Cardiovascular Intervention and Therapeutics, 2012May-Thurner syndrome is a rare condition that results from narrowing of the left common iliac vein (CIV) lumen due to pulsatile compression from the right common iliac artery (CIA) as it crosses anterior to it. We present a case of 24-years old female with left lower limb deep venous thrombosis (DVT).

Iliac vein bypass with autogenous saphenous vein for iliac vein compression syndrome.
The American surgeon, 1988A case of chronic obstruction of the left iliac vein is presented. The patient had failed conservative management. Surgical reconstruction was performed using autogenous saphenous vein. The patient has done well; results of a venogram at six months postoperatively indicate the graft is still patent.

Dual compression is not an uncommon type of iliac vein compression syndrome
The International Journal of Cardiovascular Imaging, 2017Typical iliac vein compression syndrome (IVCS) is characterized by compression of left common iliac vein (LCIV) by the overlying right common iliac artery (RCIA). We described an underestimated type of IVCS with dual compression by right and left common iliac arteries (LCIA) simultaneously.

Predictive factors for iliac vein compression syndrome in patients with varicose veins
VascularObjective This study aimed to identify predictors of iliac vein compression syndrome (IVCS) in patients with varicose veins and to evaluate the necessity of routine lower extremity venography for preoperative assessment of these patients.
