Dementia prevalence in the Wisconsin Longitudinal Study. [PDF]
Abstract INTRODUCTION While there is growing appreciation of the importance of sociobiological determinants of dementia, few lifespan cohorts offer well‐characterized dementia outcomes to explore these aims. We sought to identify dementia prevalence in the Wisconsin Longitudinal Study (WLS), one of the most comprehensive lifespan cohort studies in the ...

Early-life influences on the risk for later-life Alzheimer's and non-Alzheimer's dementia: A nearly full life course prospective cohort study. [PDF]
Abstract BACKGROUND Dementia prevention research has largely used educational attainment as a proxy for early‐life. Given the known influence of early‐life exposures on brain development, more attention to early‐life exposures is warranted. A DIA-MS-based proteomics approach to find potential serum prognostic biomarkers in glioblastoma patients. [PDF]
A DIA‐MS‐based proteomics analysis of serum samples from GB patients and healthy controls showed that high levels of IL1R2 and low levels of CRTAC1 and HRG in serum are associated with poor survival outcomes for GB patients. These circulating proteins could serve as biomarkers for the prediction of outcome in patients with GB.

Ilias and Odyssey: Two Epics, Two World Views
The different world views of the authors of the Iliad and the Odyssey are illustrated by selection of verses used by both poets. The role of the gods in the Odyssey precludes the tragic conception of human life that is characteristic of the Iliad.
