Illuminant segmentation for multi-illuminant scenes using latent illumination encoding
Signal Processing: Image Communication, 2022Color constancy is an important part of the Human Visual System that allows us to recognize colors of object invariant to the light that is illuminating them. Computational color constancy is the process of estimating the illumination of a scene using some computational method. However, this problem is inherently ill- posed. The RGB value of each pixel

Formulations regarding the patient's history have not only played an important part in understanding the patient, but interpretations explicitly linking the present with the past have been seen as central to the therapeutic process. In this paper the author considers the role of historical reconstruction in bringing about psychic change.

Ars Combinatoria
We introduce a two-player game where the goal is to illuminate all edges of a graph. At each step the first player, called Illuminator, taps a vertex. The second player, called Adversary, reveals the edges incident with that vertex (consistent with the edges incident with the already tapped vertices).

Foreign illuminators and illuminated manuscripts
1999No account of the history of the manuscript book in Britain in the fifteenth century would be complete without a discussion of the extent to which foreigners were involved in the native book trade, and of the several manuscripts written and illuminated abroad which were imported at this time. This chapter distinguishes five classes of production and/or

Abstract.— Previous research on the perception of illumination has primarily been occupied with the apparent paradox that “we must know the object colour in order to utilize the reflected light as an index of illumination, while we must know the illumination in order to use the reflected light as an index of object colour”. The present study shows this
