Local image-based lighting with parallax-corrected cubemaps
ACM SIGGRAPH 2012 Posters on - SIGGRAPH '12, 2012Image-based lighting (IBL) is typically used for distant lighting represented by an infinite environment map. This technique has been used by many games. Games divide their scenes into several sectors and associate a cubemap (the environment mapping of choice due to its graphic hardware performance) to each of them.

Quick image-based lighting of hair
ACM SIGGRAPH 2004 Sketches on - SIGGRAPH '04, 2004We model each hair curve using a set of control points that define a spline in world space. Each control point carries attributes that include world-space position and four floats needed by our occlusion model. Other attributes, such as thickness and color, are useful but not relevant to our technique.

Densely sampled light probe sequences for spatially variant image based lighting
Proceedings of the 4th international conference on Computer graphics and interactive techniques in Australasia and Southeast Asia, 2006We present a novel technique for capturing spatially and temporally resolved light probe sequences, and using them for rendering. For this purpose we have designed and built a Real Time Light Probe; a catadioptric imaging system that can capture the full dynamic range of the lighting incident at each point in space at video frame rates, while being ...

High dynamic range imaging & image-based lighting
ACM SIGGRAPH 2008 classes, 2008This class outlines recent advances in high dynamic range imaging (HDRI) - from capture to image-based lighting to display. In a hands-on approach, we show how HDR images and video can be captured, the file formats available to store them, and the algorithms required to prepare them for display on low dynamic range displays. The trade-offs at each step

Real‐time Image‐based Lighting of Microfacet BRDFs with Varying Iridescence
Computer graphics forum (Print), 2019Iridescence is a natural phenomenon that is perceived as gradual color changes, depending on the view and illumination direction. Prominent examples are the colors seen in oil films and soap bubbles.

Design of Lighting Intelligent Control System Based on OpenCV Image Processing Technology
Int. J. Uncertain. Fuzziness Knowl. Based Syst., 2021The high growth of vehicular travel in urban areas, in particular, requires a traffic control system that optimizes traffic flow efficiency. Traffic congestion can also occur by large de-lays in Red Light etc.
