Systematic review of image segmentation using complex networks [PDF]
This review presents various image segmentation methods using complex networks. Image segmentation is one of the important steps in image analysis as it helps analyze and understand complex images. At first, it has been tried to classify complex networks based on how it being used in image segmentation.

Clinical significance of stratifying prostate cancer patients through specific circulating genes
We tested a specific panel of genes representative of luminal, neuroendocrine and stem‐like cells in the blood of prostate cancer patients, showing predictive value from diagnosis to late stages of disease. This approach allows monitoring of treatment responses and outcomes at specific time points in trajectories.

SeedEdit: Align Image Re-Generation to Image Editing [PDF]
We introduce SeedEdit, a diffusion model that is able to revise a given image with any text prompt. In our perspective, the key to such a task is to obtain an optimal balance between maintaining the original image, i.e. image reconstruction, and generating a new image, i.e. image re-generation. To this end, we start from a weak generator (text-to-image

MET variants in the N‐lobe of the kinase domain, found in hereditary papillary renal cell carcinoma, require ligand stimulation to promote cell transformation, in contrast to other RTK variants. This suggests that HGF expression in the microenvironment is important for tumor growth in such patients. Their sensitivity to MET inhibitors opens the way for

Large language models for causal hypothesis generation in science
Towards the goal of understanding the causal structure underlying complex systems—such as the Earth, the climate, or the brain—integrating Large language models (LLMs) with data-driven and domain-expertise-driven approaches has the potential to become a ...

The complex mode of action of the topoisomerase II inhibitor etoposide in triggering apoptosis involves several mechanisms: overexpression of the mitochondrial protein VDAC1, leading to its oligomerization and formation of a large channel that mediates the release of pro‐apoptotic protein; and overexpression of the apoptosis regulators p53, Bax, and ...
