Robust Image Alignment for Tampering Detection
IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, 2012The widespread use of classic and newest technologies available on Internet (e.g., emails, social networks, digital repositories) has induced a growing interest on systems able to protect the visual content against malicious manipulations that could be performed during their transmission.

Weakly supervised alignment of multisensor images
2015 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS), 2015Manifold alignment has become very popular in recent literature. Aligning data distributions prior to product generation is an appealing strategy, since it allows to provide data spaces that are more similar to each other, regardless of the subsequent use of the transformed data.

Asymmetric gradient-based image alignment
2009 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing, 2009A new method for template-based image alignment is presented in this paper. A gradient-based optimization of motion compensated error difference is addressed to solve the image alignment problem. Its novelty lies in the minimized error, which considers the bi-directional compensation of the reference template and the current image onto each other in a ...

An alignment-sensitive probe for an image projector
Computer-Aided Design, 1973Abstract The paper describes an improved probe capability for an interactive graphic display based on film, microfiche or slides, providing a method of reducing registrational tolerances inherent in film images. Detection of the frame registration is accomplished by a photodiode array located adjacent to the display screen.

Stitching multiple images together to create beautiful high-resolution panoramas is one of the most popular consumer applications of image registration and blending. In this chapter, I review the motion models (geometric transformations) that underlie panoramic image stitching, discuss direct intensity-based and feature-based registration algorithms ...

A robust method for alignment of histological images
Computer Methods and Programs in Biomedicine, 2005Determination of reference points is a precondition for reconstruction of serial sections. In the case of comprehensive reconstruction work, manual extraction of the markers may be very time-consuming and may even make such reconstruction impossible. The procedure presented in this contribution allows automatic alignment of histological preparations ...
