Detecting Infected Cucumber Plants with Close-Range Multispectral Imagery
This study used close-range multispectral imagery over cucumber plants inside a commercial greenhouse to detect powdery mildew due to Podosphaera xanthii. It was collected using a MicaSense® RedEdge camera at 1.5 m over the top of the plant.

Aligning image pairs with significant appearance change is a long standing computer vision challenge. Much of this problem stems from the local patch descriptors' instability to appearance variation. In this paper we suggest this instability is due less to descriptor corruption and more the difficulty in utilizing local information to canoni-cally ...

Rotationally Invariant Image Representation for Viewing Direction Classification in Cryo-EM [PDF]
We introduce a new rotationally invariant viewing angle classification method for identifying, among a large number of Cryo-EM projection images, similar views without prior knowledge of the molecule.

Semantic Image Alignment for Vehicle Localization [PDF]
Accurate and reliable localization is a fundamental requirement for autonomous vehicles to use map information in higher-level tasks such as navigation or planning. In this paper, we present a novel approach to vehicle localization in dense semantic maps, including vectorized high-definition maps or 3D meshes, using semantic segmentation from a ...

Cross-Weather Image Alignment via Latent Generative Model With Intensity Consistency
Image alignment/registration/correspondence is a critical prerequisite for many vision-based tasks, and it has been widely studied in computer vision. However, aligning images from different domains, such as cross-weather/season road scenes, remains a ...

Diffusion Model Alignment Using Direct Preference Optimization [PDF]
Large language models (LLMs) are fine-tuned using human comparison data with Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF) methods to make them better aligned with users' preferences. In contrast to LLMs, human preference learning has not been widely
