Enhanced Visualization of Hyperspectral Images
IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters, 2010An enhanced visualization algorithm for hyperspectral images (HSI) is presented in this paper. The visualization is based on the projection onto color matching functions of the human vision system. A contrast enhancement procedure is introduced making use of multiband gradient information.

Metalantis: A Comprehensive Underwater Image Enhancement Framework
IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote SensingUnderwater images normally suffer from visual degradation issues such as color deviations, low contrasts, and blurred details. Recently, numerous underwater image enhancement algorithms have been proposed to address these issues.

Image Enhancement of Historical Image Using Image Enhancement Technique
2020Image enhancement technique is one of the very challenging issues in the image processing technique. The main motive of the image enhancement process is to work on an image or picture so that the result should be more applicable than original. Historical docs are very important origin of information, but it commonly suffers from the problem of getting ...

A Development of Image Enhancement for CCTV Images
2015 5th International Conference on IT Convergence and Security (ICITCS), 2015This research aims to propose the method of the CCTV image enhancement using sub-images homomorphic filtering techniques. The experiments were conducted using CCTV video clips which recorded from both indoor and outdoor surveillance video system. The processes started by dividing video clip into image frames, then separate both horizontal and vertical ...

Narrow band imaging (NBI) can emphasize images of the surface microvasculature of lesions, because the central wavelengths of the NBI filter are 415 and 540 nm and these wavelengths are well absorbed by hemoglobin. Flexible spectral imaging color enhancement (FICE) increases the contrast in depictions of mucosal lesions.

Enhancement of Backlight-Scaled Images
IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, 2013Switching the liquid crystal display (LCD) backlight of a portable multimedia device to a low power level saves energy but results in poor image quality especially for the low-luminance image areas. In this paper, we propose an image enhancement algorithm that overcomes such effects of dim LCD backlight by taking the human visual property into ...

Image detection and enhancement
Applied Optics, 1981An optimal filtering approach is taken to the problem of detecting and enhancing a photographic image immersed in background or noise. The minimum mean square error criterion is shown to be not relevant to the optical employment of the Wiener filter.
