Self Contained Encrypted Image Folding [PDF]

open access: yesPhysica A, Vol. 391 Issue 23, 5858--5870 (2012), 2012
The recently introduced approach for Encrypted Image Folding is generalized to make it Self Contained. The goal is achieved by enlarging the folded image so as to embed all the necessary information for the image recovery. The need for extra size is somewhat compensated by considering a transformation with higher folding capacity.

Segmentation of Foreground Row Trees in Apple Orchard Images Collected by Ground Vehicles [PDF]

open access: yesISPRS Annals of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences
This paper proposes a fully automatic method for the segmentation of foreground row trees in industrial apple orchard images. The segmentation is based on analyzing a combination of a depth map constructed by the Marigold diffusion model and a model ...

A Novel Constrained Non-negative Matrix Factorization Method for Group Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging Data Analysis of Adult Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder

open access: yesFrontiers in Neuroscience, 2022
Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a common childhood psychiatric disorder that often persists into adulthood. Extracting brain networks from functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data can help explore neurocognitive disorders in ...

Big image of Galois representations associated with finite slope $p$-adic families of modular forms [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We consider the Galois representation associated with a finite slope $p$-adic family of modular forms. We prove that the Lie algebra of its image contains a congruence Lie subalgebra of a non-trivial level.

Image of the Burau Representation at $d$-th Roots of unity

open access: yes, 2013
We prove that the image of the Full braid group $B_{n+1}$ on $n+1$ strands under the Burau representation, evaluated at a primitive $d$-th root of unity is arithmetic provided $n\geq d$.Comment: To appear in Annals of Mathematics.

Concept image and concept definition in mathematics with particular reference to limits and continuity [PDF]

open access: yes, 1981
The concept image consists of all the cognitive structure in the individual's mind that is associated with a given concept. This may not be globally coherent and may have aspects which are quite different from the formal concept definition.
