Robust Image Sequence Mosaicing

2003
Mosaicing is a technique to efficiently condense the static information of an image sequence within one extended mosaic image. The core of mosaicing is to estimate a global transformation between images due to the global camera motion. This is usually accomplished by either matching segmented image features or exploiting all iconic image data directly ...

Lossless compression of color mosaic images

IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, 2005
Lossless compression of color mosaic images poses a unique and interesting problem of spectral decorrelation of spatially interleaved R, G, B samples. We investigate reversible lossless spectral-spatial transforms that can remove statistical redundancies in both spectral and spatial domains and discover that a particular wavelet decomposition scheme ...

3D Mosaic from Images

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2015
This paper presents a tool for 3D object mosaic. Given a set of background removed input images, we first compute a 3D reconstructed volumetric model body using shape from silhouette. The granularity of a volumetric body is the user input. Voxel center coordinates, voxel color, and surface normal of the voxel are computed for 3D mosaic.

Image Mosaicing using Sequential Bundle Adjustments

Procedings of the British Machine Vision Conference 2000, 2000
Abstract We describe the construction of accurate panoramic mosaics from multiple images taken with a rotating camera, or alternatively of a planar scene. The novelty of the approach lies in (i) the transfer of photogrammetric bundle adjustment techniques to mosaicing; (ii) a new representation of image line measurements enabling the use of lines in ...

Feature-Based Image Mosaicing

2013
FIM can be divided into two main steps: image spatial alignment, also known in the literature as image registration or motion estimation, and image intensity blending for rendering the final mosaic. The spatial alignment step can be further divided into pairwise and global alignments.
