Axon sprouting typically occurs in a brain region that has been partially denervated. The present study demonstrates, quantitatively, evidence for sprouting outside the region of deafferentation. A modification of the Timm sulfide silver histochemical method was used to monitor an increase in the mossy fiber terminal field in the fascia dentata of ...

The paper presents an approach for computer-assisted diagnosis of some diseases (e.g. anaemia, malaria), which are caused by deformations of erythrocyte shapes. In the method firstly the thresholding of the input MGG image is performed, using modified thresholding based on fuzzy measures. Secondly, every cell is localised and extracted.

Computer Assistance Image Processing Spores Counting
2009 International Asia Conference on Informatics in Control, Automation and Robotics, 2009To monitor plant disease which caused by spores, it is needed to obtain the spores image exterior outline characteristic, prepares for spores type analysis and automatic counting. This paper uses computer assistance digital image processing, realized image pretreatment, determined the threshold value reasonably, and transformed the gray image to binary

Computer-assisted image processing technique for tracking wound progress
2016 IEEE International Conference on Electro Information Technology (EIT), 2016The purpose of this study was to develop an algorithm to support the decisions of expert physicians in the management of wound healing. The goal was to work towards the development of an image processing algorithm for quantifying the progress of healing of skin wounds. For this algorithm development, multiple wound images were obtained from patients in

Soft-Edge Assisted Network for Single Image Super-Resolution
IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, 2020The task of single image super-resolution (SISR) is a highly ill-posed inverse problem since reconstructing the high-frequency details from a low-resolution image is challenging.

A computerized image-processing system has been developed for quantitative analyses of the autoradiographs obtained with the [14C]deoxyglucose method. By means of this system, these cerebral metabolic images can be digitized and the resultant data can be manipulated for image construction, enhancement, enlargement, and microdensitometric analysis.
