End-to-End Image Patch Quality Assessment for Image/Video With Compression Artifacts
In this paper, we present an experimental image quality assessment (IQA) method for image/video patches with compression artifacts. Using the High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) standard, we create a new database of image patches with compression ...

Image quality assessment [PDF]
Publisher Summary This chapter examines objective criteria for the evaluation of image quality as perceived by an average human observer. The focus is on image fidelity, i.e., how close an image is to a given original or reference image. This paradigm of image quality assessment (QA) is also known as full reference image QA. Three classes of image QA

Assessing Bias in Face Image Quality Assessment
Face image quality assessment (FIQA) attempts to improve face recognition (FR) performance by providing additional information about sample quality. Because FIQA methods attempt to estimate the utility of a sample for face recognition, it is reasonable to assume that these methods are heavily influenced by the underlying face recognition system ...

On the Stimulation Frequency in SSVEP-based Image Quality Assessment
S.216-221Steady-state visual evoked potentials (SSVEP) are brain responses elicited by periodic visual stimuli. Recently it was shown that the use of SSVEP in quality studies allows for accurate psychophysiological assessment of perceived visual quality,

ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...

Quality assessment of despeckled SAR images
In this paper, a novel method for the quality assessment of despeckled SAR images is proposed. This method is based on the observation that the perceived quality of despeckled SAR images is not always appropriately described by classical statistical and deterministic parameters that are proposed in the literature. Various evaluations are performed here.

ABSTRACT Background 131I‐metaiodobenzylguanidine (131I‐MIBG) radiotherapy is a key treatment for relapsed and refractory (R/R) neuroblastoma (NB). Patients with R/R disease treated in the modern era are increasingly exposed to anti‐GD2 immunotherapy, which exerts selective pressure and may modify both tumor cell state and microenvironment.

ABSTRACT Claudin‐6 has emerged as a promising immunotherapeutic target, yet protein‐level data in atypical teratoid/rhabdoid tumors (AT/RTs) have been inconsistent. We analyzed 36 well‐characterized AT/RT samples and found membranous claudin‐6 protein expression in 58% of cases, with striking enrichment in the molecular subgroup AT/RT‐TYR (100%) and ...

Shearlet-based reduced reference image quality assessment
S.2052-2056This paper proposes a reduced reference image quality assessment method using only a low number of features. It involves a shearlet decomposition, directional pooling of the obtained coefficient and extracts the scalewise statistical location ...
