Cytomegalovirus infection is common in prostate cancer and antiviral therapies inhibit progression in disease models

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Human cytomegalovirus infection is common in normal prostate epithelium, prostate tumor tissue, and prostate cancer cell lines. CMV promotes cell survival, proliferation, and androgen receptor signaling. Anti‐CMV pharmaceutical compounds in clinical use inhibited cell expansion in prostate cancer models in vitro and in vivo, motivating investigation ...

Faroe Islands rephotography image registration dataset

open access: yesData in Brief, 2023
Over 200 georeferenced registered rephotographic compilations of the Faroe Islands are provided in this dataset. The position of each compilation is georeferenced and thus locatable on a map.

Registration error of the liver CT using deformable image registration of MIM Maestro and Velocity AI

open access: yesBMC Medical Imaging, 2017
Background Understanding the irradiated area and dose correctly is important for the reirradiation of organs that deform after irradiation, such as the liver.

Machine learning for identifying liver and pancreas cancers through comprehensive serum glycopeptide spectra analysis: a case‐control study

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study presents a novel AI‐based diagnostic approach—comprehensive serum glycopeptide spectra analysis (CSGSA)—that integrates tumor markers and enriched glycopeptides from serum. Using a neural network model, this method accurately distinguishes liver and pancreatic cancers from healthy individuals.

Comprehensive profiling of lncRNAs and mRNAs enriched in small extracellular vesicles for early noninvasive detection of colorectal cancer: diagnostic panel assembly and extensive validation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Small extracellular vesicles are a promising source of diagnostic molecules. We conducted a comprehensive study, including transcriptome profiling and RT‐qPCR validation on large cohorts of samples. Diagnostic panels enabling sensitive detection of colorectal cancer and precancerous lesions were established. Some molecules were differentially expressed

Decrypting cancer's spatial code: from single cells to tissue niches

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Spatial transcriptomics maps gene activity across tissues, offering powerful insights into how cancer cells are organised, switch states and interact with their surroundings. This review outlines emerging computational, artificial intelligence (AI) and geospatial approaches to define cell states, uncover tumour niches and integrate spatial data with ...

A Groupwise Registration Method Based on Topology Center of Images

open access: yesChinese Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 2018
Image registration is often used to transform images from different subjects into the same spatial space to ensure more accurate comparisons. With the traditional image registration methods, one image is usually specified as the reference image, while ...

Adenosine‐to‐inosine editing of miR‐200b‐3p is associated with the progression of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

Automatic Image Registration

open access: yesKalpa Publications in Engineering, 2018
The automatic construction of large, high-resolution multi view image registration is an active area of research in the fields of image processing. Multiview image registration can be used for many different applications. The most traditional application is the construction of large aerial and satellite photographs from collections of images ...

A Novel Coarse-to-Fine Scheme for Remote Sensing Image Registration Based on SIFT and Phase Correlation

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2019
Automatic image registration has been wildly used in remote sensing applications. However, the feature-based registration method is sometimes inaccurate and unstable for images with large scale difference, grayscale and texture differences.
