Deformable image registration

IEEE International Conference on Image Processing 2005, 2005
The paper describes a novel deformable data registration algorithm. The proposed method can be seen as a tradeoff between the landmark and intensity driven data registration techniques. The algorithm is fast, robust and offers high registration accuracy. The algorithm enables to include complex constraints on the allowable data deformations.

Image registration & image fusion

Proceedings of the International Conference and Workshop on Emerging Trends in Technology, 2010
This paper aims to present Image registration and Image fusion used for Image processing. Sets of data acquired by sampling the same scene or object at different times, or from different perspectives, will be in different coordinate systems. Image registration is the process of transforming the different sets of data into one coordinate system ...

A survey of medical image registration

Medical Image Analysis, 1998
The purpose of this paper is to present a survey of recent (published in 1993 or later) publications concerning medical image registration techniques. These publications will be classified according to a model based on nine salient criteria, the main dichotomy of which is extrinsic versus intrinsic methods.

Hybrid Retinal Image Registration

IEEE Transactions on Information Technology in Biomedicine, 2006
This work studies retinal image registration in the context of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Early Treatment Diabetic Retinopathy Study (ETDRS) standard. The ETDRS imaging protocol specifies seven fields of each retina and presents three major challenges for the image registration task.

Structure Propagation for Image Registration

IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging, 2013
Mosaicing is a commonly used technique in many medical imaging applications where subimages are stitched together in order to obtain a larger field of view. However, stitching, which involves alignment or registration in overlapping regions, is often challenging when the information shared by subimages is absent or small.

Image Registration by “Super-Curves”

IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, 2004
We solve the 2-D affine image registration problem by curve matching and alignment. Our approach starts with a super-curve, which is formed by superimposing two affine related curves in one coordinate system. We use B-spline fusion technique to find a single B-spline approximation of the super-curve and a registration between the two curves ...
