Seam merging for image resizing with structure preservation

2011 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP), 2011
In image resizing process, preserving structure on an image is important to produce plausible results. We proposed seam merging, a seam-carving-based image resizing method, and a new energy criterion for structure preservation. Seam merging reduces the size of an image by merging a two-pixel-width seam into a one-pixel width seam.

Image resizing in the compressed domain

2017 International Symposium on Signals, Circuits and Systems (ISSCS), 2017
Image resizing is used to convert an image of a given size to one of a different size. There exist different algorithms for resizing an image both in the spatial domain, as well as in the frequency domain where it is stored in compressed form. There are certain advantages of performing the resizing operation directly in the compressed domain. First, it

Content-based Image Resizing on Mobile Devices.

2012
Content-aware image resizing are effective algorithms that allow to take into account the visual content of images during the resizing process. Despite the technological advances in the context of mobile devices, content-aware image resizing algorithms are still far to be used on a hand held device due to the computational resources needed during the ...

Content aware image resizing

2015
The aim of the thesis is to realize and write a program that resizes the input image to preserve important objects and describe some algorithms by which this can be achieved. The introduction describes the problem. The second part relates to some possible solutions that could solve the problem.
