Image quality and image resolution

2013 Seventh International Conference on Sensing Technology (ICST), 2013
13 years after the introduction of the first digital airborne mapping camera in the ISPRS conference 2000 in Amsterdam, several digital cameras with more than 100 MPixels per image have been made available. They are now well established in the market and have replaced the analogue mapping cameras.

Image Super-Resolution Using Very Deep Residual Channel Attention Networks

European Conference on Computer Vision, 2018
Convolutional neural network (CNN) depth is of crucial importance for image super-resolution (SR). However, we observe that deeper networks for image SR are more difficult to train.

Super-resolution and Raman chemical imaging: From multiple low resolution images to a high resolution image

Analytica Chimica Acta, 2008
Imaging in Raman spectroscopy is a valuable tool for analytical chemistry. Although molecular characterization at micron level is achieved for many applications, it usually fails producing chemical images of micron size samples as expected in chemical, environmental and biological analysis.

Image super-resolution via multi-resolution image sequence

2013 International Conference on Wavelet Analysis and Pattern Recognition, 2013
A novel super-resolution reconstruction algorithm of multi-resolution image sequence integrating the improved super-resolution reconstruction based on neighbor embedding with scale invariant feature transform (SIFT) is proposed in this paper. Firstly, SIFT key points in images are extracted.

Dual Aggregation Transformer for Image Super-Resolution

IEEE International Conference on Computer Vision, 2023
Transformer has recently gained considerable popularity in low-level vision tasks, including image super-resolution (SR). These networks utilize self-attention along different dimensions, spatial or channel, and achieve impressive performance.

High-resolution imaging ellipsometer

Applied Optics, 2002
We report on a novel imaging ellipsometer using a high-numerical-aperture (NA) objective lens capable of measuring a two-dimensional ellipsometric signal with high resolution. Two-dimensional ellipsometric imaging is made possible by spatial filtering at the pupil plane of the objective.

High resolution stereoscopic imaging

Applied Optics, 1983
In the usual method of stereoscopic imaging by observation at two different angles the resolution obtainable is poor. By imaging in a confocal scanning optical microscope with two different angles of observation the resolution is substantially improved. The method is applicable to phase and amplitude objects.

Scaling Rectified Flow Transformers for High-Resolution Image Synthesis

International Conference on Machine Learning
Diffusion models create data from noise by inverting the forward paths of data towards noise and have emerged as a powerful generative modeling technique for high-dimensional, perceptual data such as images and videos.

High resolution fluorographic imaging(?)

The British Journal of Radiology, 1985
In the past 100 mm and 105 mm fluorography has played a role subordinate to full-size radiography in diagnostic radiology. Given the improvements in image quality achieved since the introduction of caesium iodide input screens (Baiter & Kuhl, 1980), and also given the growing awareness among the radiological community of the economic advantages of ...
