All-In-One Image Restoration for Unknown Corruption

Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, 2022
In this paper, we study a challenging problem in image restoration, namely, how to develop an all-in-one method that could recover images from a variety of unknown corruption types and levels.

Iterative Image Restoration

Applied Optics, 1975
The projection method of solving a set of linear equations was used to restore linearly degraded images. The advantages of this method are that it always converges, it can readily make use of a priori information about the image, and it does not need excessive computation time.

Binary‐image restoration

Canadian Journal of Statistics, 1994
AbstractWe consider the problem of binary‐image restoration. The image being restored is not random, and we make no assumption about the nature of its contents. The estimate of the colour at each site is a fixed (the same for all sites) function of the data available in a neighbourhood of that site.

DiffIR: Efficient Diffusion Model for Image Restoration

IEEE International Conference on Computer Vision, 2023
Diffusion model (DM) has achieved SOTA performance by modeling the image synthesis process into a sequential application of a denoising network. However, different from image synthesis, image restoration (IR) has a strong constraint to generate results ...

Restoration of longitudinal Images

Annual Meeting Optical Society of America, 1987
A method of restoring longitudinal details in ordinary images is presented. By using a transfer theory for longitudinal objects and inverse filtering, the longitudinal image may be restored. The usual Fourier theory and sampling theorems for transverse images cannot be used directly in the longitudinal case.

Learning Weather-General and Weather-Specific Features for Image Restoration Under Multiple Adverse Weather Conditions

Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, 2023
Image restoration under multiple adverse weather conditions aims to remove weather-related artifacts by using a single set of network parameters.

Space-Variant Image Restoration

1997
Publisher Summary This chapter offers information on space-variant image restoration. The inhomogeneity assumption introduced in this chapter allows the edges to be directly taken into account by the image model. A stochastic image-generating process is so obtained describing the gray level discontinuities by a space-varying model, where only the ...
