Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Deep Unsupervised Embedding for Remote Sensing Image Retrieval Using Textual Cues

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
Compared to image-image retrieval, text-image retrieval has been less investigated in the remote sensing community, possibly because of the complexity of appropriately tying textual data to respective visual representations.

Multilabel Remote Sensing Image Retrieval Based on Fully Convolutional Network

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing, 2020
Conventional remote sensing image retrieval (RSIR) system usually performs single-label retrieval where each image is annotated by a single label representing the most significant semantic content of the image.

Adenosine‐to‐inosine editing of miR‐200b‐3p is associated with the progression of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

Image Retrieval Berdasarkan Fitur Warna, Bentuk, dan Tekstur

open access: yesComTech, 2014
Along with the times, information retrieval is no longer just on textual data, but also the visual data. The technique was originally used is Text-Based Image Retrieval (TBIR), but the technique still has some shortcomings such as the relevance of the ...

Investigating the cell of origin and novel molecular targets in Merkel cell carcinoma: a historic misnomer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study indicates that Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) does not originate from Merkel cells, and identifies gene, protein & cellular expression of immune‐linked and neuroendocrine markers in primary and metastatic Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) tumor samples, linked to Merkel cell polyomavirus (MCPyV) status, with enrichment of B‐cell and other immune cell

PYCR1 inhibition in bone marrow stromal cells enhances bortezomib sensitivity in multiple myeloma cells by altering their metabolism

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study investigated how PYCR1 inhibition in bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) indirectly affects multiple myeloma (MM) cell metabolism and viability. Culturing MM cells in conditioned medium from PYCR1‐silenced BMSCs impaired oxidative phosphorylation and increased sensitivity to bortezomib.

Research on tree image retrieval method based on twin network multi feature fusion

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2023
In this paper, an image retrieval method based on twin network multi feature fusion is proposed to improve the retrieval accuracy of tree images to meet the detection requirements of power grid line tree obstacles. In the twin network, the color features,

Revisiting Oxford and Paris: Large-Scale Image Retrieval Benchmarking [PDF]

open access: yes2018 IEEE/CVF Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, 2018
In this paper we address issues with image retrieval benchmarking on standard and popular Oxford 5k and Paris 6k datasets. In particular, annotation errors, the size of the dataset, and the level of challenge are addressed: new annotation for both ...

Inhibition of CDK9 enhances AML cell death induced by combined venetoclax and azacitidine

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The CDK9 inhibitor AZD4573 downregulates c‐MYC and MCL‐1 to induce death of cytarabine (AraC)‐resistant AML cells. This enhances VEN + AZA‐induced cell death significantly more than any combination of two of the three drugs in AraC‐resistant AML cells.
