The Theoretical Highest Frame Rate of Silicon Image Sensors
The frame rate of the digital high-speed video camera was 2000 frames per second (fps) in 1989, and has been exponentially increasing. A simulation study showed that a silicon image sensor made with a 130 nm process technology can achieve about 1010 fps.

Bifidobacterium bifidum establishes symbiosis with infants by metabolizing lacto‐N‐biose I (LNB) from human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs). The extracellular multidomain enzyme LnbB drives this process, releasing LNB via its catalytic glycoside hydrolase family 20 (GH20) lacto‐N‐biosidase domain.

Line array sensors produce data which has no inherent geometrical continuity. Hence, any platform attitude variation will be evidenced as a distortion when the data lines are displayed in the normal Cartesian raster.

The role and implications of mammalian cellular circadian entrainment
At their most fundamental level, mammalian circadian rhythms occur inside every individual cell. To tell the correct time, cells must align (or ‘entrain’) their circadian rhythm to the external environment. In this review, we highlight how cells entrain to the major circadian cues of light, feeding and temperature, and the implications this has for our

Inkjet-Printed Vertical Organic Field-Effect Transistor Arrays and Their Image Sensors.
Vertical organic field-effect transistors (VOFETs) have been explored with a higher current density, a faster switch speed, and a better air stability than conventional OFETs, which dramatically enhance the capability of driving an AMOLED backplane ...

Crosstalk between the ribosome quality control‐associated E3 ubiquitin ligases LTN1 and RNF10
Loss of the E3 ligase LTN1, the ubiquitin‐like modifier UFM1, or the deubiquitinating enzyme UFSP2 disrupts endoplasmic reticulum–ribosome quality control (ER‐RQC), a pathway that removes stalled ribosomes and faulty proteins. This disruption may trigger a compensatory response to ER‐RQC defects, including increased expression of the E3 ligase RNF10 ...

Peptide‐based ligand antagonists block a Vibrio cholerae adhesin
The structure of a peptide‐binding domain of the Vibrio cholerae adhesin FrhA was solved by X‐ray crystallography, revealing how the inhibitory peptide AGYTD binds tightly at its Ca2+‐coordinated pocket. Structure‐guided design incorporating D‐amino acids enhanced binding affinity, providing a foundation for developing anti‐adhesion therapeutics ...
