CMOS image sensor for spatiotemporal image acquisition [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Electronic Imaging, 2006
We present a 64-×64-pixel CMOS image sensor chip that can acquire a 16-gray-level image containing both spatial and temporal information of the moving luminous object under observation. The image can next be processed using any image processing software in order to determine the speed, trajectory, and direction of motion of the moving object.

Parent‐to‐Child Information Disclosure in Pediatric Oncology

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Despite professional consensus regarding the importance of open communication with pediatric cancer patients about their disease, actual practice patterns of disclosure are understudied. Extant literature suggests a significant proportion of children are not told about their diagnosis/prognosis, which is purported to negatively ...

Generic radiation hardened photodiode layouts for deep submicron CMOS image sensor processes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Selected radiation hardened photodiode layouts, manufactured in a deep submicron CMOS Image Sensor technology, are irradiated by 60Co gamma-rays up to 2.2 Mrad(SiO2) and studied in order to identify the most efficient structures and the guidelines ...

Prolonged Corrected QT Interval as an Early Electrocardiographic Marker of Cyclophosphamide‐Induced Cardiotoxicity in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Patients

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Cyclophosphamide (CY) is associated with potentially fatal cardiotoxicity, yet no electrocardiographic indices have been established for early detection of CY‐induced cardiomyopathy. This study aimed to determine whether corrected QT interval (QTc) prolongation can predict early onset of CY‐related cardiac dysfunction in pediatric ...

Low-frequency noise impact on CMOS image sensors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
CMOS image sensors are nowadays extensively used in imaging applications even for high-end applications. This is really possible thanks to a reduction of noise obtained, among others, by Correlated Double Sampling (CDS) readout.

Principle investigations on polarization image sensors

open access: yesOther Conferences, 2019
With the appearance of cameras containing newly developed polarized image sensors, which include an on-chip polarizer array placement, there is an upcoming need to characterize these cameras according to a uniform standard. These polarizer arrays consist

A Systematic Review of Evidence on the Clinical Effectiveness of Surveillance Imaging in Children With Medulloblastoma and Ependymoma

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Surveillance imaging aims to detect tumour relapse before symptoms develop, but it's unclear whether earlier detection of relapse leads to better outcomes in children and young people (CYP) with medulloblastoma and ependymoma. This systematic review aims to identify relevant literature to determine the efficacy of surveillance magnetic ...

Single Event Effects in CMOS Image Sensors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In this work, 3T Active Pixel Sensors (APS) are exposed to heavy ions (N, Ar, Kr, Xe), and Single Event Effects (SEE) are studied. Devices were fully functional during exposure, no Single Event Latch-up (SEL) or Single Event Functional Interrupt (SEFI ...

Submicrometer Nanostructure-Based RGB Filters for CMOS Image Sensors [PDF]

open access: yesACS Photonics, 2018
Digital color imaging relies on spectral filters on top of a pixelated sensor, such as a CMOS image sensor. An important parameter of imaging devices is their resolution, which depends on the size of the pixels.
