Neurochemical Endpoints to Inform Early‐Stage Trials of Spinocerebellar Ataxia 2 and 3 in a Multisite Setting

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Neurochemical levels measured by brain MR spectroscopy (MRS) have been proposed as endpoints for clinical trials in early‐stage spinocerebellar ataxia (SCA) trials. We tested their trial‐readiness by quantifying neurochemicals in three affected brain regions in early‐stage cohorts of SCA2 and SCA3, examining their reproducibility in ...

Synthesis of fingerprint images

Object recognition supported by user interaction for service robots, 2003
A method for synthesis of fingerprint images is presented. Global features are condensed in a linear model whose parameters are generated according to the statistical distribution of natural fingerprint patterns. When the major types of global patterns are considered independently, these parameters display a normal behavior.

Image Quilting for Histological Image Synthesis

2020
Applications in digital histopathology often require costly expert labels to train modern machine learning algorithms. We introduce an adaptation of the Image Quilting algorithm for texture synthesis that is utilized to virtually multiply the tissues and labels.

View interpolation for image synthesis

Proceedings of the 20th annual conference on Computer graphics and interactive techniques, 1993
Image-space simplifications have been used to accelerate the calculation of computer graphic images since the dawn of visual simulation. Texture mapping has been used to provide a means by which images may themselves be used as display primitives.

Image Manipulation and Image Synthesis.

2022
Image manipulation is of historic importance. Ever since the advent of photography, pictures have been manipulated for various reasons. Historic rulers often used image manipulation techniques for the purpose of self-portrayal or propaganda. In many cases, the goal is to manipulate human behaviour by spreading credible misinformation.

Component image filing system for image synthesis

Systems and Computers in Japan, 1990
AbstractIt is necessary that a database systematically store and manage various kinds of images and quickly synthesize a new image using the stored images. This paper describes a new method to manage material image data which are suitable for image synthesis and the synthesized images.

Image analysis and synthesis of multimodal images in medicine

Computer Methods and Programs in Biomedicine, 1994
Radiologic and clinical practice can be enhanced by improved access to multimodal image information. Analysis, visualization, method characteristic image processing and image synthesis is needed not only for the interpretation of the images but also for performing effective consultations with clinical colleagues and computer supported therapy planning ...
