Design and proof of concept of a double-panel TOF-PET system
Objective Positron Emission Tomography (PET) is a well-known imaging technology for the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of several diseases. Most PET scanners use a Ring-Shaped Detector Configuration (RSDC), which helps obtain homogeneous image ...

Mothbox and Mothbot: Automated light trap and data processing system for scalable insect monitoring
Abstract Insects represent the most diverse group of organisms on Earth and comprise the majority of known species; yet they are seldom accounted for in large‐scale biodiversity monitoring systems and conservation planning. We have developed the Mothbox—an open source automated light trap that makes insect monitoring accessible to non‐specialists and ...

PSHead: 3D Head Reconstruction from a Single Image with Diffusion Prior and Self‐Enhancement
We introduce PSHead, a coarse‐to‐fine framework guided by both object and face priors, to produce a Gaussian‐based 3D avatar for a single frontal‐view reference image. In the coarse stage, we create an initial 3D representation by applying diffusion models trained for general object generation, using Score Distillation Sampling losses over novel views.

Reevaluation of missed lung cancer with artificial intelligence
Lung cancer is often missed on chest radiographs, despite chest radiography typically being the first imaging modality in the diagnosis pathway. We present a 46 year-old male with chest pain referred for chest X-ray, and initial interpretation reported ...

PBR‐Inspired Controllable Diffusion for Image Generation
Abstract Despite recent advances in text‐to‐image generation, controlling geometric layout and PBR material properties in synthesized scenes remains challenging. We present a pipeline that first produces a G‐buffer (albedo, normals, depth, roughness, shading, and metallic) from a text prompt and then renders a final image through a PBR‐inspired branch ...
