Sub-Anesthetic Ketamine Administration Decreases Deviance Detection Responses at the Cellular, Population- and Mesoscale Levels. [PDF]

open access: yesEur J Neurosci
During an auditory deviance detection task, naïve mice and mice injected with sub‐anesthetic ketamine show marked differences in spiking activity and mesoscale connectivity. Control mice exhibit a biphasic spiking response to deviant sounds, whereas the late spiking component is abolished by ketamine.

Distinct Grey Matter Alterations in Untreated Mild to Moderate Chronic Low Back Pain: A Longitudinal Magnetic Resonance Imaging Study. [PDF]

open access: yesEur J Pain
ABSTRACT Background Chronic low back pain (CLBP) remains the leading cause of disability worldwide, yet lumbar structural abnormalities seldom account for reported symptoms. Prior neuroimaging studies often report reduced cerebral grey matter density (GMD) in CLBP but typically include patients with moderate‐to‐severe pain who are taking centrally ...

Imagerie 3D par capteurs à ondes millimétriques pour le contrôle non destructif des assemblages en bois

open access: yese-Journal of Nondestructive Testing, 2023
Dans le domaine du diagnostic des structures en bois, il est nécessaire d’apporter une méthodologie innovante avec des outils précis pour obtenir des analyses fiables sur l’état du bâtiment sans dégrader les parois.

Depth-Fused 3D Imagery on an Immaterial Display [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics, 2009
We present an immaterial display that uses a generalized form of depth-fused 3D (DFD) rendering to create unencumbered 3D visuals. To accomplish this result, we demonstrate a DFD display simulator that extends the established depth-fused 3D principle by using screens in arbitrary configurations and from arbitrary viewpoints.

3D Facial Reconstruction from 2D Portrait Imagery [PDF]

open access: yesInformation & Security: An International Journal, 2020
3D facial images are reconstructed from 2D portraits using regression trees for facial landmark alignment and 3D morphable models. Two generic regression trees were adopted, one being based on the widely used 68-landmark structure, and the other based on a 74-landmark structure.

Sense of Virtual Reality: Effectiveness of Replacing 3D Imagery with 2D/3D Hybrid Imagery

open access: yesIEICE Transactions on Information and Systems, 2005
This paper proposed the advantages of using a 2D/3D hybrid imagery system over the use of 3D by itself. A hybrid imagery system was created by projecting a 3D (stereo) image in between and overlapping onto two adjacent 2D images. The negative effect where 2D and 3D images overlap was studied and resolved.

Machine-learned 3D Building Vectorization from Satellite Imagery [PDF]

open access: yes2021 IEEE/CVF Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition Workshops (CVPRW), 2021
We propose a machine learning based approach for automatic 3D building reconstruction and vectorization. Taking a single-channel photogrammetric digital surface model (DSM) and panchromatic (PAN) image as input, we first filter out non-building objects and refine the building shapes of input DSM with a conditional generative adversarial network (cGAN).
