Objectives/Instruction: Nightmares can be effectively treated with cognitive‐behavioral therapies. It remains elusive which therapeutic elements are responsible for the beneficial effects on nightmare symptoms. Imagery rescripting (IR) and imaginal exposure (IE) are commonly identified as active treatment components of nightmare therapies.
