Wearable Kirigami‐Apertured Capacitive Sensors for Continuous Cardiac Volumetric Monitoring
A wearable kirigami‐apertured carbon nanotube‐paper composite (K‐CPC) capacitive sensor enables cardiac volumetric monitoring. The kirigami process creates a central aperture with cantilevered fibers that confine the electric field, enhancing both sensitivity and lateral resolution.

Algorithms for Manipulating Compressed Images
IEEE Computer Graphics and Applications, 1993A family of algorithms that implement operations on compressed digital images is described. These algorithms allow many traditional image manipulation operations to be performed 50 to 100 times faster than their brute-force counterparts. It is shown how the algebraic operations of pixel-wise and scalar addition and multiplication, which are the basis ...

A flexible algorithm for image matching
Proceedings 11th International Conference on Image Analysis and Processing, 2002We propose a method for measuring the similarity between grey level images. The method is able to match images successfully even in the presence of small geometric deformations, illumination changes, and severe occlusions. It fits naturally an implementation based on a comparison of data structures which requires no numerical computations. The range of

Reconstruction Algorithms for Electromagnetic Imaging
IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2003Two algorithms for image reconstruction in electromagnetic imaging are proposed. The first approach concerns the application of a hybrid version of the genetic algorithm to tomographic imaging of dielectric configurations. In the second approach, buried inhomogeneities are schematized as multilayer infinite dielectric cylinders with elliptic cross ...

A comparison of image filtering algorithms
ICASSP '84. IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2005This paper compares four image filtering algorithms on common data sets for various signal to noise ratios and white Gaussian noise. The algorithms are the median filter, the Wallis filter, the reduced update Kalman filter, and a multiple model, decision-directed filter.

Enhancement Algorithm for Sandstorm Images
2021 2nd International Conference on Control, Robotics and Intelligent System, 2021In order to reduce the impact of the increasingly frequent sandstorm weather on computer vision-related applications, we propose an enhancement algorithm for sandstorm images. First, we achieve white balance through the Shades of Gray (SoG) algorithm optimized by blue channel compensation. Then, we convert the corrected image into Lab color space. Next,

A hierarchical image segmentation algorithm
Proceedings. IEEE International Conference on Multimedia and Expo, 2003This paper presents a hierarchical image representation that preserves spatial relationships, and an image segmentation algorithm that efficiently constructs this representation. The overall structure of the hierarchical representation assumes a tree-like organization, in which a node at a higher level represents of a group of nodes from the next lower

A foggy image restoration algorithm
Proceedings of 2011 International Conference on Electronic & Mechanical Engineering and Information Technology, 2011An improved fog fuzzy image restoration method is proposed. The threshold value range is determined by the image histogram. Image threshold segmentation can separate the target threshold from the sky threshold. Then, image is expanded with the increase canvas method and processed by the histogram specification algorithm based on the mobile template ...

Image restoration with the Viterbi algorithm
Journal of the Optical Society of America A, 2000The Viterbi algorithm (VA) is known to given an optimal solution to the problem of estimating one-dimensional sequences of discrete-valued pixels corrupted by finite-support blur and memoryless noise. A row-by-row estimation along with decision feedback and vector quantization is used to reduce the computational complexity of the VA and allow the ...
