Materials for phantoms for terahertz pulsed imaging [PDF]
Phantoms are commonly used in medical imaging for quality assurance, calibration, research and teaching. They may include test patterns or simulations of organs, but in either case a tissue substitute medium is an important component of the phantom. The aim of this work was to identify materials suitable for use as tissue substitutes for the relatively

Developing a Phantom for the Positronium Imaging Evaluation
In this contribution, a concept for a new phantom for positronium imaging with PET scanners is described. The proposed phantom is based on the NEMA IEC phantom in which six high-activity spheres are filled with solutions characterized by a different mean ortho-positronium lifetime.

Classification of phantoms for medical imaging
Phantoms are physical models that mimic biological tissue and its properties in medical imaging. They play an important role in medical quality assurance, research, education, and training, since they can offer an adequate test environment. As the use of medical imaging modalities is a growing field in medicine phantoms are likewise evolving very ...

Tissue mimicking phantoms for fluorescence imaging [PDF]
The article describes the development of the optical phantom mimicking flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD) and skin collagen fluorescence. The results of experimental studies using fluorescence imaging and fluorescence spectroscopy methods are demonstrated. The method of optical phantom production for quick calibration of fluorescence imaging devices for
