Imaging Spectroscopy for Conservation Applications [PDF]

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2021
As humans continue to alter Earth systems, conservationists look to remote sensing to monitor, inventory, and understand ecosystems and ecosystem processes at large spatial scales. Multispectral remote sensing data are commonly integrated into conservation decision-making frameworks, yet imaging spectroscopy, or hyperspectral remote sensing, is ...

Imaging with Raman Spectroscopy [PDF]

open access: yesCurrent Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, 2010
Raman spectroscopy, based on the inelastic scattering of a photon, has been widely used as an analytical tool in many research fields. Recently, Raman spectroscopy has also been explored for biomedical applications (e.g. cancer diagnosis) because it can provide detailed information on the chemical composition of cells and tissues.

Scanning image correlation spectroscopy [PDF]

open access: yesBioEssays, 2012
AbstractMolecular interactions are at the origin of life. How molecules get at different locations in the cell and how they locate their partners is a major and partially unresolved question in biology that is paramount to signaling. Spatio‐temporal correlations of fluctuating fluorescently tagged molecules reveal how they move, interact, and bind in ...

Resolved imaging and spectroscopy of QSOs [PDF]

open access: yesSymposium - International Astronomical Union, 1986
We have obtained direct images and off-nuclear spectra for five QSOs having a wide range of radio, optical and X-ray luminosity. Four objects show absorption features identified with stars in a host galaxy, and off-nuclear changes in emission line wavelengths.

Overview of the EnMAP imaging spectroscopy mission [PDF]

open access: yes2016 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS), 2016
The Environmental Mapping and Analysis Program (EnMAP) German imaging spectroscopy mission is intended to fill the current gap in space-based imaging spectroscopy data. An overview of the main characteristics and current status of the mission will be provided in this contribution.

Imaging and spectroscopy of ejected common envelopes -- [PDF]

open access: yesMonthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, 1997
Imaging and spectroscopy are presented for four planetary nebulae known to contain close binary central stars resulting from a recent phase of common envelope evolution. These objects are Abell 41, Abell 46, Abell 63 and Abell 65. Determinations of the nebula abundances show that He is significantly enhanced in all of the objects.

Optical imaging spectroscopy [PDF]

open access: yesSolar Physics, 1987
During the recent solar maximum the combination of imaging and spectroscopy in the visible part of the spectrum became a powerful tool for observational study of flares primarily because of the development of two-dimensional charge-coupled-device (CCD) arrays.
